We are attending MNSSHP 09/16. Kid is going as Anakin Skywalker.:darth: Do you know if adults can use makeup? I was planing to go as Jack Skeleton

This is our first MNSSHP and we are so exited :cool1:

Definitely can. I'm on the hunt for some professional makeup for my evil queen costume in case I decide to go to a 2nd MNSSHP the week I'm there.

I figure professional makeup will last longer and won't melt in the florida heat - I hope.

If you find some, please report back. DD and I will be Mystique and Gamora.

We use professional makeup for dance (and theatre). We always buy Ben Nye, you can probably get it online. If you have a nice dance shop or a costume store locally you will be able to find it there (the stuff they sell at the Halloween stores is usually crap and wont last in the heat/sweat). :thumbsup2

I'm going as the Wicked Witchh of the West on halloween night so I had to track down theatre quality make up.

I'm using Paradise AQ make up. Also make sure to get a sealer thats what keeps it on so it wont sweat off.

But you can't take it off with water then I was able to use bath and body works hand soap to get it off.

I also highly recommend Ben Nye face paint. We used it last year. It rained on us and we had minimal paint come off.

I teach theatre--- I can vouch for both Ben Nye and mehron makeup--- but so you're aware-- if you're buying their products, they MUST be set with translucent powder- they are oil-based makeups and will ruin what they come into contact with otherwise. You will also need makeup remover to get them off (neutrogena makeup removing cleansing cloths are a good start but sometimes I need something oil-based as well, or a non oil-based eye makeup remover). Because it's for theatrical and film use it doesn't sweat off, but extra care is needed to set and remove it. Good luck!!!

I was given a spray by the theatre place i bought it from, is the power better to use? It didn't seem to smudge when i touched things after using the spray but i only tested wearing the makeup about 30 mins and i'll have it on for 9 hours that night.

Thanks so much. :thumbsup2. I can't wait. 3 days to enjoy the magic:wizard:
