Does anybody know which characters are at each character spot and which is the best order to do the character meet and greets?

I noticed this question was asked but no one has said much about it. Does anyone have any info on this?

Lynn5700- This might be a useful site, it has a bunch of ideas of costumes people have made...maybe you can find something there. I can not sew so my kids usually do an easy Disney costume since it can be hot there in October...we are doing Tigger and Pooh...ears+shirts=happy, not sweaty kids :thumbsup2

I also found this one on Disneyshopping.com http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/DSIProductDisplay?catalogId=10002&storeId=10051&productId=1233537&langId=-1&categoryId=11872

Thank you sooo much for the link!!! I have been looking for that website!!!! Thank you!

Awesome pictures everybody!!!

According to the map (http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/photos/mnsshp-map3.jpg, it looks like Alice and friends will still be posted behind Space Mountain... Last year, that included The Queen of Hearts, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. Mickey and Minnie were in Toontown... Buzz was by his ride... Stitch (as Elvis) was at the Cosmic Ray's Dance Party... Chip and Dale were at the other Dance Party (in Ariel's Grotto, I believe)... I want to say Aladdin and Jasmine (and maybe Genie??) were by the Magic Carpets... That's all I can remember.

Can anyone who went to the first party of 2008 help us out with this, and also the best strategy for meet and greets?

Also, a *bump* to say that the first post has been updated with more info and links!

It is a fun event, but havent decided if i am going again this year. Went once in 2oo5 but havnet been back since.

MNWDWMANIAC: Love the pictures! The one with the castle and fireworks is incredible. I need to find out how to work the fireworks setting on our cameras before September 23rd! :goodvibes

OP: Thanks for starting this thread. I think it's a fantastic idea. I'm sorry people gave you a hard time in the beginning and I'm glad people are using this thread in the way it was intended. :thumbsup2

MNWDWMANIAC in the bottom corner of your Haunted Mansion picture, It looks like you captured a picture of female ghost :scared1: it looks like she is sitting with a fan in her hand, or am I seeing things???????

That was the coolest thing. She actually talks to the guests that are in line and (if I remember correctly) is supposed to be one of the ghosts from inside the HM. :hmghost:

The creepest thing about it is the way they have it set up it is very difficult to get a picture of her. My DH and also another guy in line next to us kept trying to take a picture of her and it would just come out as a big white circle of light. The other guy had to kind of lean out over the railing to get a picture of her to come out. Really made riding HM spooky. :scared1: and added to the atmosphire. Can't wait to see if she is there again this year.

Thank you for organizing all the MNSSHP information, very helpful!! Can I ask a few more questions please?
- Is there a listing of what characters are at each character location? Is it on the Times board or on the map?
- Do the characters sign autographs or just pose for pictures? I heard they do not do autograph books
- At the dance parties, will the characters pose for pictures or do they just mingle around?
- Villian Mix and Mingle, when do the characters come out and for how long, is it before the show or after?
- Where do they do face painting?

Its been a few years (maybe 6) since our last MNSSHP, but I just looked at the tape we made of the parade. The thing that strikes me the most about the party is the atmosphere change throughout the park. Halloween is my DD's favorite time (and mine). At home, we do it up "big time". We may have gone overboard last year - a little girl across the street freaked a little and DW is making us throttle it back this year. Anyhoo, JacknSally, thanks for the thread - It brought back some great memories! But be advised for future reference - no good deed goes unpunished...

Hi and thanks OP for the info and to everyone for the great photos! I must learn how to take fireworks pics before next Saturday :woohoo: Can't believe our trip is only a week away!!

OK, so my question is, DH and I are thinking of buying tickets for Sept. 16 or 19th, but our kids are grown and will not be there with us. Do adults go to MNSSHP without children? Do you dress up? Anyone here gone without kids? Would love to hear about it!

Thanks! :flower3:

Thanks for all the pictures.

I am still waiting to hear if they are doing free strollers again this year. My three year old is old enough to not be in one, and ok, I'm lazy, but I don't want to drag a stroller from FW over to MK ... but would love to rent one for free.

That was the best surprise at our first hard ticket party.

Can't wait for free face painting. I think we're there the 26th ...:confused3 Is it sad I don't know. :rotfl:

Have actually never gone WITH kids. :goodvibes They are grown. Went with my 30 year old son last year in October (mother-son F&W trip, we had a blast!) and with DH in September. DH and I are going October 30 this year. Seriously you will have fun without kids...there are tons of adults there! We don't trick or treat, but a lot of adults do!

Hi,

Sorry if this is off topic!!!

We have MNSSHP tickets (2) for Tues. 09/23, and they are "Pick up / will call" only.

Can I take the confirmation to Animal Kingdom Monday 09/22 and exchange the will call "hard copy" for actual hard tickets?? Or, do I need to go Magic Kingdom Ticketing Center...??

I hope this makes sense...

I'm psyched for Halloween!!!

Really you should go! The parade is awesome and the fireworks are wonderful. Be prepared to get the "Boo to You" song from the parade stuck in your head though! :goodvibes I have the event CD that has the music on it and it always makes me smile!

Last year we saw one of the best costumes I have ever seen...a guy (grownup) dressed as Captain Crunch! Really stood out in a sea of Jack Sparrows!

I think you have to get them at MK, but you can pick them up before the party, you wouldn't have to make a special trip. We did will call last year for one of the parties we went to and we just picked them up about 4 or so then went straight into the MK.

We'll be there soon and I am trying to see about going on Sept 23rd. DH isn't too "into" paying the extra $ to go. We'll see though.

Any more pics? I want to see the shirts from this year too!:goodvibes
