MNSSHP - Here's What Happens!

How are crowds usually between 6 and 7 on party nights? Am I right to expect it to be pretty crowded (long wait for lines) as party-goers can come starting at 4pm as well as all those who have been here during the day. We are going on 10/30.

Last year you could get the photo with the ghost at the doombuggie at HM any time, not just at the party.

It's a separate line for the HM photopass; you do not have to ride the ride to get the photo.

The Cinderella carriage is only out for the parties and the characters in their costumes. That's all I can think of.

How do you get a photo with the ghost at the doombuggie at HM any time, not just at the party. How do you get a HM photopass?

Thanks! :)

Hi:

Thanks for the info. I have a noob question. I will be in orlando on business over the weekend of Oct 25th. My son will be coming along also.
Will I have to purchase park tickets in addition to the MNSSHP tickets to get admission if I do not intend to get to the park before 4 pm?
If not, will I gain admission to the entire park by buying MNSSHP tickets and showing up after 4PM.
Thanks for your help

I meant the Photopass photo (a photo taken by a Photopass photographer and put on the Photopass card) at the doombuggie is a separate line from the ride line so you don't have to ride the ride to get the photo taken.

I don't know if the photo is taken year round but it's definitely taken at the parties and last year was also available in October any time of the day, not just at the parties.

THey have a photographer there and you just get in line and then later when you see the photo on your computer, it will have a ghost sitting on the doombuggie! It's so cool!

They will give you a special party Photopass card once you have your first photo taken and it will have the instructions on the back for getting 40% off all party photo prints you buy.

Yes, you can enter the park after 4:00p with just the party ticket.

Is there a thread or at least a post referring to the MNSSHP that took place Friday? I wonder specifics about this year's party!

We decided today that DH and I will be going to the party on Oct 21. without any kids. We are so excited to get to be going and we aren't bringing the kids....what a shock LOL....we even managed to get a studio at SSR on the incentive points for that night...Happy Happy Happy dance!!!!!!!!!

Is the best spot for the fireworks in front of the castle like regular Wishes?

Also does the parade start in Frontierland for both times?

Well, I like being in front of the castle because there are 'things' that happen (projected) on the castle front BUT if you are too close, you will miss half the fireworks because they go off so low behind the castle. So I'd be in front but not too close.

Yes, the parade starts in Frontierland for both parades.

I know I know ... I am a woman of 999 questions, but isn't there always room for one more?

I wanted to be sure to get a tshirt from the party when we go. Does anyone know if the shops on Main St are closed when the party ends, or do they stay open a little longer? I know normally they do, but I wasn't sure about the hard ticket parties.

This is from last year but all the stores were open as we were leaving at 12:00 am or so.

I cannot wait, my first mnsshp is also my birthday the 28th. I am also in my first photopass cd share with friends. Can my party pics be added onto the same pass or do I have to purchase an additional photopass cd for party pics? Since it is a special event I was not sure if they counted in my regular photopass cd.
thanks, great posts everyone

You can add the photos taken that night to your CD. You can either use your regular Photopass card that you use all week or you can use the special MNSSHP Photopass card they'll offer you when you take your first photo that night and then combine the two cards later.

Just wanted to add that I also think this a great thread. And I believe that it will continue to improve as more people go to the parties over the next few weeks.

We always try to arrive close to 4pm, we do not do any other parks on our party day. One year we ate at CP for a 5pm dinner, it was very good, and really fun to take pictures with the characters in our costumes. Very good service too. I have a question about the photopass discount at the party. Can you buy more than one photo with the discount? Do you need to purchase the photos while you are at the party?:surfweb:

thadarkslayer--

Love how your pix turned out! Can you tell me what you did for the parade pix? Camera setting/flash or no flash, etc?? My parade pix came out very dark and grainy and I want to do better this time around. Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. :woohoo: I was worried that I would need to purchase another cd.

I would then imagine that all of the special boarders for the party can then be added once I get home.

I went in Oct last year, and never saw the Photopass pic by HM, and I went by there several times. I guess I just had bad luck. Will try again this time during the party.

2 quick questions--
I know the parade starts in Frontierland but does the Headless Horseman also start there?? and
I'd like to get a pic with Mickey and wondered if there was a better time to go to ToonTown to do it??

TIA and Happy Halloween!
