Any seasoned MNSSHP goers able to help me out on this? Firstly, do you see many people in fancy dress at 4pm on party nights? I don't want to be embarrassed if we get there and are the only ones! Lol! Secondly, are there any places to get a cab late at night as my son is pretty much an insomniac so I'm likely to be the shattered one! Lol! Would be awesome to stay til closing time! :) Third, anyone know what the wait times are like for M&G?? I personally only want to meet 7 Dwarves but am sure my son will want to meet others.. esp Sully & Mike Wazowski from Monster's Inc. Thanks! :)

I can only help with the first question - we went fully dressed up and there were loads of others dressed up - you certainly won't be the only ones! We got there for around 5.00.

Im not a seasoned MNSSHPer but we went in October last year, we spent the day in MK, changed into outfits just after 4, stayed till close! Amazing!
We stood in line for the 7 dwarves, only about half hour, we met most of the characters rhat night... gaston, tiana, naveen, buzz, woody, jessie, dwarves... didnt wait for longer than half hour.
X

You certainly wont look out of place in fancy dress :goodvibes
The Seven Dwarfs M&G gets the longest lines so hit that first
Many people start lining up ahead of the official party time (7pm) to meet them

You will need to go to the TTC for a cab but it may be VERY busy so your best bet may be to catch the monorail, boat or walk to one of the resort hotels and get them to hail you a cab. Contemporary is a very easy walk.:)

The last time we stayed off property we wandered over to the Contemporary very late from MK to get a cab; the Cast Members at the outside podium couldn't have been more helpful & were were in a cab and on our way in a jiffy.

This will be our first MNSSHP & we will be in costume from 4pm - and not a child in sight
:hyper:

Wishing you a wonderful time!

Does the monorail run after the party? I thought they weren't running it late night, party nights included (?) If not, you could take a ferry across

If you do change your mind and want to meet the Dwarves, we have managed to be out of the line by 7.10 pm 2 years in a row. We grabbed a snack and a juice and took a seat at the front of the line just after 6 pm and used that as our rest stop. When the Dwarves came out we were second in line last year and through and free to enjoy the party from just after 7 pm.

the monorail runs on party night

but at midnight, the ramp up to the monorail is packed. You get people queueing all the way down to the left bag check ...

ferry is also crazy busy (had to board the 3rd ferry out of MK after a MNSSHP last october)

either get out of the park at 11:30 / 11:45 or be in Fantasyland at midnight, and very slowly make your way out of MK (until CMs kick you out of the park :hippie: )
you will make it back to your car or to your hotel at the same time as you would have if you had left at midnight, but without the crowds, and with the ability to enjoy MK for a while longer.

The best option (but only for resort guests) is to catch a bus out of MK, since they send all the buses they have, and you sometimes get 4 buses for the same resort boarding at the same time)

I could of sworn that I had read somewhere that on theme nights it runs for 30 min or 1 hour after the event closes. :confused3 I am sure somebody will say. But yes the ferry will be running regardless:)

That's great to know guys, thanks! :) We're having dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern at 5.40 so will have to either suffer the half hr wait or miss it if my son's ASD is playing up. Any ideas on the best way to get to Carribean Beach Resort late at night? Didn't know if there was an easier way than by cab. Thanks! :)

As others have alresdy posted, bus will be your best bet, as all buses are sent atvthe end of the night.

Costumes get more common as the night goes on

We went in costumed at 4 (and had a reservation at CP) and I did feel a bit stared at in CP but that could have been me feeling self-conscious!

It was soon forgotten anyway and it was a fabulous night and costumes were certainly in the majority before too long!

I would go with getting the bus back to your resort - it will probably be just as quick if not quicker than going to the TTC (though if you are set on a cab then I liked the suggestion of walking over to the contemporary)

I think we will do resort bus next time - we took the car last time and that ferry ride to the TTC was a killer!

Bus will be the best bet by far. To get a cab you have to go somewhere else first.

Myself, DH and 2 DD's went dressed up as Snow White, Prince, Tiana and Belle last year and we went to Golden Corral for lunch on the way. No one really batted an eyelid apart from the waiter who kept saying to me 'oh here comes Cinderella!!'
