Edited to delete the fluff for the hope for at least one response :)

Friday Sept 26th party vs Sunday Sept 28th party.

Chose busier Friday party even though it sold out last year over predicted top 5 slowest party on Sunday. Worried about raining out activities and not having opportunity to see party at all. Choosing Friday means we'd have a second chance at a party on my trip if weather ruined Fridays party.

Sound strategy or should I just have stuck with Sunday party?

Other than parade and hallowishes only other time consuming party activities we plan on doing are JackSally meet and Malificient meet. The rest filled with rides and typically low lined activities.

This plan should not matter whether its a busy party or not right? We plan to take advantage of low ride lines.

I figure that the locals would come more likely to go to a Friday party. We like Sunday parties. Because of locals needing to go back to work. But, we have other options later in our week. In case of rain. Hope I helped.

Don't know about strategy, but we will be there that Friday - also just planning on HalloWishes, the parade and 2-3 meet and greets. Anything else we accomplish is a bonus! See ya there!!!

We went last year on Nov 1st - a sold out party. It wasn't bad at all - we were able to see Jack & Sally with about a 25 min wait DURING the first parade. Hubby got in line about 5 min into parade when the line cut in half. Didn't do Maleficent this trip but have in the past - just be sure to be lined up WHILE watching the villain show. If you are there early enough and have a plan you will be fine on Friday.

Good to know about Jack wait. I planned on getting in line at 6 or so while my DW and DS's enjoy the park and meet me around 7 and get it out of the way right off the bat. I've read about your husbands strategy too
