Last year the had the halloween dessert party with vip seating for the parade and desserts with viewing for the fire works. Does anyone know when those tickets went on sale last year prior to the parties starting and if anyways has any idea if they will do it again? If they offer this we will 100% be getting tickets for our family. Thanks!

I didn't know even know they had this. Do you happen to know much The tickets where last year?

If they do this again were getting it regardless of price. Its just so worth it for us. We did the Christmas party in 2015 I didn't really know what to expect but I just felt like the crowds really took away from enjoying it. My husband hates the shoulder to shoulder mess and I hate having to get your parade spot an hour earlier. So to be able to roll up to VIP parade viewing 20 minutes prior and watching fire works from higher ground without 1000 people that sounds pretty amazing to me. SOOOOOOO hoping they offer again and its like it was last year because I heard nothing but good reviews from people who did it.

This is from Inside the Magic's info for this year's Dessert Party:

Tickets for the special event cost $69 for adults or $39 for children (ages 3 to 9), plus tax. Also, a required ticket for the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is separate and not included with this price.

The package will be available on the following dates:

  • September 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29 and 30
  • October 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30 and 31
Guests are encouraged to call (407) 939-3463 to reserve your premium package or book online.

Tickets went on sale last year on August 17th, 2015 (I'm pretty sure, as thats when I bought my tickets). They were completely sold out for ALL dates by early in the day on August 18th, 2015. Literally, within a day they were all gone. I remember being SO glad I went ahead and bought them instead of "waiting and deciding". The party was nice but we won't be doing it again simply because of the price. It was a once and done kind of thing for us.

How did you find out they went on sale that day? I will be extremely upset if I don't get tickets. We already missed the damn chance for dining or discount for room!!!!

I actually was surfing this very forum on the DIS and saw a thread about it. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Went online and booked it immediately. Its one of those things that if you want to do it, you're pretty much going to have to rely on sheer luck of stalking this forum or calling Disney all day every day. Last year was a little slow to catch on because it was new and people didn't know to ask for it which is why they were available for around 24 hours. This year people know to expect it and I can promise you they will be gone in a matter of hours. I hope you are able to get yours. Sending positive vibes your way!

Also to note, I generally keep up with when Pirates League extends their hours for the Halloween Parties so I can book those too. In previous years they released the extended hours in August but last year it was in early July so with Disney you just never know :-(

edit: Just seen the PP say they are on sale now. Go go go! lol

OMG thank you so much. Just got them and the party tickets. Im so excited. I was so worried we wouldn't get them because they are so limited. Sure hope its worth the price. But I know not being shoved with all those people on the street will make it so much more enjoyable especially for DH

Whoo Hoo!!!! :yay: Good, I am glad you got them. That is exactly why I get them for us. I am the one in our party who just cannot take being smushed like sardines with people I don't know. This way my son gets to enjoy the parade and fireworks and I can keep my sanity. LOl

You have done the Halloween one before? How early did you go to Parade viewing?

I just tried for 9/2 and 9/8--no luck for either night, I'm guessing already sold out? I tried online, nothing, tried again by phone and nada. Sad because after last year's disaster first party of the year, DH said never again to the party, he was willing to do this though because of the reserved space.
