MNSSHP crowds?

Just had a thought that I may squeeze in a quick trip around Columbus Day! Am thinking of going Thursday 10/9- Monday 10/13 (Columbus Day)

I think that MNSSHP happens on Tues, Thurs and Sun. Is that correct? I also have read that Fridays are a lot busier. I'm thinking that Sun before Columbus Day must also be very busy as most people are off on Monday. Does anyone know historically if one day would be better than the other or if they will both be very crowded and I will just have to deal? LOL!

Tuesdays are always the least crowded days for MK, including the special events.

Typcially the parties get busier the closer to the actual Holiday you get (meaning, the closer to Halloween the busier the MNSSP will be.)

I went last year in mid-October and was able to do many things. However, the lines for candy were INSANE (I didn't wait, I could just see them.) The dwarf line, the Flynn Rider/Rapunzel line, and the Jack Skellington line being the worst. But there are good tips around to help you make the most of the event. I lucked out and saw Jack and Sally with a very short wait during the fireworks. Also, the parade is fantastic.

We went to MNSSHP over Columbus Day weekend this year (Friday 10/11). The party ended up selling out that night, but we never felt as though it was overly crowded. The only lines that were really crowded were to meet Jack and Sally and the 7 Dwarfs. Other than that, we were able to meet all of the other characters through out the night, and the lines for the rides were fairly short, too. The rest of the parties that weekend (Thursday night and Monday night) were also sold out.

For some reason Disney is really crowded during Columbus day. I went to the party and it was crowded like I have never seen before. It was shoulder to shoulder and I left after the fireworks. I never left before 12 before but it was insane. I will never go there again during that time period.

Hmmmm.....sounds like I will go in thinking it will be crowded and have a good plan. DS really wants to meet Jack and Sally so I will make that first priority! Thanks for the responses.

Pretty much that is the best way to do it. Went this past year too and I think the parade, Hallowishes and Jack and Sally were what really felt crowded but the park didn't feel so bad for us, even waited towards the end to meet the dwarves and that turned out better than expected. Go In with a plan and knock Jack and Sally out early

We were there last Oct.for 10 nights. The weather was hot and humid. Above average actually. Was there at same time 2 yrs previous and weather was very comfortable. The parks were pretty busy. Busy enough on columbus weekend that MK was open for Emh Sunday night 1 to 3. We went just for that Emh to see and it was not busy but over the weekend it was. The night we had booked mnsshp was sold out but we enjoyed it so much we went another night later in the week. Hallowishes was spectacular. It is a good time to be there
