So were going as a grand gathering in September and of course will be attending the MNSSHP. My question is theres 4 children, 3 of which are mine my then 6 yr old son and my boy/girl twins who will be 18 months and my 2 yr old nephew. We've been brainstorming trying to come up with cute costume ideas that "go together". Any ideas????

Thanks in advance!!

Playhouse Disney, Little Einsteins, Muppets, the Fab 5 (or 4 in your case), Pooh and friends, Dalmations

Something cool and comfy. It was so hot when I went DD refused to wear her costume, and so did DH. We wore Themed Tshirts instead.

We FROZE last Oct. 28th at the party. We even had substantial costumes on and micro fleece underneath! Not normal weather though, 50 year record lows of lower 40s and highs in the 60s. Better than 90s!
The party was great, you'll love it. I like the playhouse Disney ideas. Very cute.

The two times we have been there it has been very warm. But that can change from day to day. you may want to have both...themed shirts (they could wear another day if not that night) and costumes you can layer. Once DS was Peter Pan, costume was short sleeved, so I had a tee and a turtle neck to go under. The turtle neck didn't even go on I think and the tee had to come off too. I am sure you want disney themed costumes, may want to consider making them yourself. Last time we went DS went as Handy Manny, there was no costume but I put him in some jeans and a green tee, found a red baseball cap and even yellow gloves at Tractor supply store. Printed out a coloring page of the tools, coloered it and attached to a red tote...candy bag !! Use your imagination and keep it simple and comfortable for the little ones.
Enjoy !!

We've been ON Halloween twice now and both times were unbearably sweltering. I think anything remotely cool, much less cold, is a rarity.

The first time we went as Peter Pan characters - Captain Hook, Tiger Lily, Wendy, Peter Pan, & Tink (you could expand this as much as you need - Tom Arma makes the CUTEST skunk costume, but it would be hot).

We saw a lot of pirate groups and dalmatian groups (tees and shorts with splotches added - headbands with floppy ears - and a spot over the occasional eye).

We considered doing crayons - long tee shirts in solid colors with cone-style party hats in matching colors (again - it's hot - and that would be comfy and easy to ride in).

The next time the girls all dressed in pettiskirts and villainess shirts. They got loads of attention from Cruella and the Evil Queen, which made their night!

When I was a cast member, the cutest ones I'll never forget were:

Toy Story - Jesse, Woody, Buzz and BullsEye
Wizard of Oz - the WHOLE family was dressed up. The little girl was Dorothy, with a little basket with Toto (stuffed of course). Then you had everyone else as the Tin Man, Scarecrow, etc.

Nemo would be fun to do - dress up as all the fish. The little octopus (Ink?) would be so cute!

We bought tshirts and made made our own iron ons (with help from the Creative DISign) board!

One year my three boys were Peter Pan, Captain Hook and the Croc. Your DD could be Tink of course. (Lucky you, oh to have a girl and all those cute, cute clothes!). My DS (the croc) was two at the time and would say "Tick, tock, tick, tock." He stole the show. No matter what you choose it will be a magical night.

we went a year ago and had a blast! The kids had a blast too :)
What about Snow White and the 7 dwarfs (even the adults can get in on this)
Different color shirts for each dwarf and iron on their names on either the front or back. Make there hats out of brown felt.

Have a great time whatever you decide!

In Sept. '07, we were construction workers. My husband printed iron-ons on the printer. The name of "our" construction company was on the front of all of our t-shirts. The backs of the kids' shirts said "Demolition Crew," my husband's said "Repair Crew," and mine said "Repair Crew Supervisor :rolleyes1." We got inexpensive construction hats from the dollar store, and plastic toolbelts & tools for the kids. We had a ball, and many people got a good laugh out of the shirts.
