We booked ours on May 12 for this year's party, so around then. I usually book on the first available date. Disney will announce it on their Disney Parks Blog and website with some advance notice of when you can start buying tickets.

I'll keep my eyes peeled in early May.
Thanks for the info!

You can look at previous years dates. It’s usually the same pattern and you will be able to guess many of the likely dates before they are released. For instance I know Sun,Tue, and Thu are usually party days, with other days of the week added in at times.

Your list of the usual party days is a big help, especially as I plan my Park Days (I don't do a park every day).
Many thanks!

Not that early, I booked my hotel in November and am already debating costumes... And since I'm weirdly devoted to MNSSHP I checked the Disney blog for the announcements in years past here's what I see:
Dates posted
4/28/2022
February 25, 2020
Tue, January 15, 2019

So I'd say "soon" but maybe as long as end of April. We don't know if the post covid annoucement time frame is the new normal or if we'll go back to what was normal in the Before Times.

I just booked our September trip today and I am so excited to have MNSSHP tickets come out. Trying to figure out how to make park reservations and pick party day without park hours

You can change park reservation dates.
After reading one of the helpful posts above, I reserved the Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays that I'll be at WDW in October for MK. Those are the likely days for the party.
I hope this helps.

You do know that you don't need a park reservation at MK to attend the party that day? Of course, if you wanted to use a day of your ticket to go before 4:00 you would. Some people take the morning off, sleep in, relax by the pool, etc.

Yes I did see that as well. I was playing around with doing it on a separate day but we’re only there for 5 nights and have 1 day off planned for disney springs mini golf and swimming and my husband is already looking forward to that day haha

Sounds like a good day-after-the-party rest day! I usually buy one less park day on my regular ticket if I am doing a party. The person I quoted sounded like he was going to be there for 2 weeks.

Yes definitely day off after that day. I would absolutely do the party as a separate day if we were there for even a full week.

I only wanted to do 6 days at Parks for my 2-week October stay, but a 10-day ticket (one-park-per-day) was cheaper. So, it is likely that I'll only go to MK at night for the Party day.
But, lots of people don't have that time option, and go to parks every day.

Will Friday, August 11th likely be the first party? Hoping to fit one in before we leave on the 12th.

We will be there in October! Just booked our rooms. Come on MNSSHP tickets!

Assuming they - as they have recently - start the parties in August, I'm planning for party day to be my MK day (yes, I'm strange and would rather split my days between Epcot and AK).

Are they typically Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday early on? I can't remember. If so, I'll likely leave Tuesday as my "non-park" day until the party tickets are available.

I have never been to MNSSHP before, but my son has asked to go for years. How does it work? You buy a ticket to the party and are able to get into the MK at 4pm? You do not also need a park ticket separately?
