MNSSHP 2015 - Be Prepared For Chaos

I emailed guest communications yesterday. Hope to hear from them soon. Their automated response said they should get back to me in three days.
I emailed them as well through the web site--I didn't get an auto-response. I'm wondering if my message went through? I called in first to complain and was told to email. Do you mind sharing what email address you used?

TIA!

Back in 2005 or 2006 we went to a Christmas party that was packed and had many people there without wristbands. I had a nice long talk with Disney complaining about it. Well, the next year they added a bunch of parties. :crazy2: I am always reminded to be careful what you complain about!

Well wouldn't that be a good thing so more people wouldn't flood in certain dates?

Contrary to what some uneducated posters said, that is exactly how it worked in 2002. And there was so much gridlock getting into the park all at 7, they changed to the current mix-in process.

I went to the parties for years until they went to the current disaster method. I don't have any recollections of gridlock getting into the park.

Yeah, after all they should make EVERY night a party and charge extra. That way no one could go to a park and see fireworks or ride rides without paying MORE! $$$$ (Disney would probably love this idea. charge you for two entrances a day LOL!)

A common misconception. The better comparison would be to see what the crowd was like at past parties closest in time to 9/15 for that year. I don't think "first" had as much to do with this year's crowd as the date did.
I would agree, but take it a step further...Rosh Hashanah was 9/13-9/15 this year - a Sunday to a Tuesday. There are many areas of the country that get school off for the Jewish holidays, which could lead people to taking that "low crowd September trip" without missing much school. Rosh Hashanah in 2014 was September 24-26th - a Wednesday to a Friday. So between Rosh Hashanah being a different date overall this year, plus it being over a weekend/mon/tues this year could have very well played a part in the significant increase during that time.

Doesn't take much to realize that they won't have a Halloween Party before Labor Day. They had it on Labor Day last year, but to each their own on how they plan.

Labor Day was Sept 7. There were plenty of nights between then and Sept 15. They could have started Sept 8, or on the 13th. Sorry I am not as smart as you, this was my first Halloween party.

That's true, and they all wouldn't have needed to purchase party tickets because Disney would have let them stay for nothing on that night. What a bonus - pixie dust for all!!!

Disney emailed me back today, asking to see the front and back of my tickets (????) along with my receipt of purchase and they will investigate further. Not sure what else there is to investigate. I sent them a copy of my email receipt but I don't have he hard tickets anymore and I can't get the numbers out of MDE. So, we shall see what they say. Another update will be forthcoming as soon as I have one!

I was there last tuesday. It was terrible. I see that it is sold out tonight. Let's see how these folks feel tomorrow!

Or Disney resolved a solution by adding more dates to filter out the crowds so everyone isn't filling in the limited dates.

I really wonder if Disney has increased the number of tickets for the parties this year. We went to a sold out MVMCP last December. I have a pretty low tolerance for crowds, but it was not near as nutty as people are describing this year's first MNSSHP to be. So it seems number of tickets being sold are higher, or many non-paying guests were able to stay in.

We have been every year for the past three years to the Halloween Party. We also have been tot he Christmas party. For the $$$ in the past, skip the Christmas party, do the Halloween party. Its kind of a given. While sometimes the crowds can be a bit higher than one would think, other times, they are not bad at all. We are going this year on Sunday the 18th of October. I dont anticipate anything out of the ordinary. It is Disney and there are going to be crowds. This myth that there are "slow" times is just that. A myth. Disney has a business to run and thats what I expect them to do.

I was not asked ONCE to show my wristband as opposed to the cheistmas party I was asked at least 6/7 times.

I thought that was odd to me also both parties emptied out after the fireworks last year but this year the park was still full till the 12 am Sanderson show and I mean it was packed! To

I would expect the "CHAOS" to be on the non party nights in Oct as well. I went to a party late October last year and it was not really very crowded, not sure if it was a sellout, but the next night with no party was crazy crowded. I've been going for over 15 years and never saw that big of a crowd, they were letting people in and diverting them behind Main St to TL before the first parade.
It seems every room is booked in October so that means a lot of guests with very few non party nights that want to go to MK at night. I would think almost every party night will sell out because of this.

They have kiosks all throughout the park that you can get a wristband from! I saw quite a few as I roamed around - so don't worry you will be able to get one with relative ease ;)

Were you wearing long sleeves or anything that would make the wristband hard to see?

I'm not smart enough either, apparently - I didn't get what that person's point was supposed to be...and I'm about to attend my 5th Halloween party!

My leather watch was over it the wrist band and then my magic band I switch and placed the items on my opposite wrist midway through the party incase they asked but still nothing - my mother in law wore a sweater too and nothing. Again maybe they were sweeping out main street when the party began
