MNSSHP 2014 Official Thread

Now that they have removed both princes and most villains from the M&G lineup, our next priority is Pooh and friends. With their greet starting at 7:30, what time do you need to line up to be near the front typically? Time to do anything party related, or just get in the line at 7 or earlier?

Whoever did the Jack Sparrow costume, you DEFINITELY beat the guy they have as 'Jack' in the parks. Darnit, I'd take a picture with you for my character meet any day!

I absolutely agree!! If I was just looking at the picture of the two of them together and asked to pick out which one was the official Disney character, I would have picked the guest hands down!

The seagull costumes are brilliant!!!!!!! Love, love love them!

{{blush}} Aw, shucks! Thanks!

Has there been anything posted regarding what characters are where during the party? As in a labeled map?

Also, has anyone posted/seen a post about the pins for this year? And their location? Sounded like on the podcast that they might be in the Emporium this year? But I remember buying my pins across the street at the foofy jewelry store (that's the official name, right?:) ) or over in Frontierland at the pin store.

Going on October 5th and I am so excited!!:good vibes First time ever at the party and there's so many things that I'm looking forward to doing I just hope that I have time to fit everything in!

My Priorities:

I'll be going to the Soiree so I don't need to go to Club Villian but I want to check it out!!!

Hi BrittyRo! We've done the party 4x and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do:goodvibes I see Jack & Sally on your priorities list so wanted to share our experience from the first party this year. We got on line at 6:10 and saw them at 7:30. Not bad, only 30 min. after they started meeting. However, at 6:50 DH asked the CM how long he thought the line was at that point and the CM said 3 hours:scared1: He told DH he'd worked the line last year also so I'm assuming he was a fairly good judge of length/time. Anyway my point is you may want to consider getting on line for them first! The dwarves line gets long also although from what I saw and have read it never got as long as J&S that night, but our party was a VERY low attendance one, so maybe watch here for posts of other parties between now and when you go and try to judge who's lines seem to be longer.

Oh my god your information was so helpful! Thank you so much! I think that the 7 Dwarves are are number 1. So I definitely want to meet them first! If Jack and Sally happens to be that long I guess we'll just miss them:lmao: I was hoping during the parades or something the lines would get shorter :/

Going on Tues 9/16 and hoping for a low crowd night. Just a couple of questions since this will be our first time going:

Are most of the major rides open for the party?

I noticed there are characters at the haunted mansion. Do they do regular meet and greets or is it something different?

Are there Photopass photographers with all of the characters?

What time should we find a spot for the second parade so we don't miss the headless Horseman's entrance?

You're welcome! I do recall people saying last year (Jack & Sally's first) that their line got somewhat shorter towards the end of the night, so you could try then:) Definitely a possibility the line will go down during the parade, especially the 2nd one. Have a wonderful time!:hmghost:

1. Yes. Only a handful of second-tier attractions are normally closed.

2. Something different. These two tend to hang out on the front lawn and interact with guests, but I don't believe you can go up and get a picture next to them.

3. No. Some have them, some don't. The bigger draws tend to have them.

4. Around 10:00p. He steps off about 5 minutes before the parade at the beginning of the route. Since he goes faster than the parade, he could appear as much as 15 minutes, depending on your location along the route, or so before the rest of the parade becomes visible. He does not ride if the ground is the slightest bit wet.

2. Luv those two hung out like 20 mins talking to them.. But you can't take pictures with them as they are up on the lawn behind the gate..

Unless, of course, they decide to come down and take pictures with you ;)

I didn't see that or thought they would or could..

Yeah, I was pretty happy with that - after chatting with her for a bit I tried to take a selfie with her in the background and she not only came down, she made some poor unsuspecting man who was just trying to get in line for HM stop and take the pic for me :rotfl2: And it's clearly still light out in the pic, so it's early on in the party - that may have helped too!

Nice :-)

We are heading down this Wednesday, haven't booked the party yet but going for sure, always. We have the choice of Friday night or sunday, not sure which would be the better day?

It's always recommended to avoid Friday night parties because more locals attend on Fridays. (Not that you want to avoid locals, just that they're going to make the party more crowded. ;))
