There seems to be a lot of changes happening this year. so i'll be updating as we come across more info.
The first party is in just a few days..so hopefully soon we'll clarify exactly what changes will occur.

NEW for 2014:

~Villains’ Sinister Soiree:
New this year is a Villian themed dessert party taking place in Cinderella's Royal Table restarant for an additional $99 per person.
You'll be treated to desserts & villian entertainment as well as perferred viewing for the 8:15 parade and fireworks.
The price for the dessert party is in addition to the party, therefore you will still need to buy the ticket to the event, the $99 dessert party is a seperate ticket

~ Club Villian:
New this year will be Club Villian which will take over Frontierland Diamond Horeshoe dance party which in the past is where you could dance with Woody,Jessie,& Bullseye
Club Villian will now feature villian favs like Lady Tremaine, Drizella, Anastasia, Cruella, Dr. Faciller, and more

~ Boo-to-you Halloween parade:
New to the parade this year will be Wreck-It-Ralph and Vanellope
aswell as the Phineas and Ferb creepa crew will explore more of the parade route

~Disney Villain Meet and greets:
It is said that there will be villians doing meet&greets in fitting areas around the park (ex: Queen of hearts near tea party, Lotso near Buzz lightyear's ride)

~ The Disney Princes will not be meeting with there princess this year.

~****~ It should be noted that it was listed on the Disney Site that instead of princes meeting that instead the princess would be meeting with there villians (EX: Aurora&Malicifent) but that has since been taken down
and it is now said that fairytale hall will operate just like it does during the day (Frozen on one side, and Rupunzel and Cindy on the other)

Here is a little FAQ I put together of things that get asked the most..i'll add onto thru the season

FAQ:

Q: What are the party times?
A: The party is from 7pm to Midnight

Q: What time can I get into the park with my party Ticket
A: You :an get in at 4pm

Q: What can you do at 4pm?
A: The party activties do not start til 7pm but you can get in line for your wristband and Candy bag and you do normal park activities (rides,characters,eat,etc) or you can line up early for Halloween activities like characters. Lines for popular characters (Jack&Sally,Dwarves,Princess) open at about 5:45pm

Q: Can anyone wear a costume?
A: Yes! No matter how old you are, you are welcomed to wear a costume

Q: How does Trick-Or-Treating work?
A: There are various candy stops around the park where CM's have a candy tub where you can go up and get free candy..yes that's right..free candy! You can see on the Halloween maps they give you, were the candy stops are.

Q: Even though I'm adult, can I still get candy?
A: Yup! You can be 2 or 100 and still get candy. No need to be embarrassed...a part of your $60 ticket is free candy so take advantage of it (If you like candy)

Q: I don't like chocolate or I have food allergies, what do I do?
A: You can still collect candy from the trails and then just take it to guest services and they will change it out for allergy free candies. They also normally have raisin and banana stops in the park

Q: Does Disney provide a trick or treat bag?
A: Yes, Disney provides a free small paper bag...if you are looking to do a lots of candy stops then you'll want to bring your own bag.

Q: Should I eat dinner before the party?
A: I'd say yes, you'll be quite busy during the party, and you'd hate to miss out on the festivities to eat dinner..so i'd say eat before you come or eat when you come in the park before 7pm

Q: Where do I buy tickets?
A: You can buy them on Disney's website, at WDW, or over the phone

Q: How do I receive the tickets
A: If you buy them far enough in advance (normally 2 weeks) they will mail them to you, or you can print them out, or you can pick them up at will call.

Q: Which way does the parade go?
A: The route goes from Frontierland and ends on Mainstreet

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: The show must go on..so in the case that it rains the festivities will continue. So you might check the weather for your party date so you know to bring a poncho. Only if it becomes serious enough and parade&fireworks are cancelled due to the weather. then they may offer a refund which normally is a ticket to another party or a park ticket..but don't get your hopes up because if its not serious enough for parade to be cancelled then they do not normally offer a refund.

I cant believe how close we are to the halloween season..and MNSSHP!!
I feel like I wait all year for it lol..and last year was our first year going.
I had wanted to go for years and finally had the chance to go last year..and we had a blast!
I felt like I had stalked these threads,sites, and blogs for years..and it was so great to finally experience it in person.
I planned just about every min of the party..and it didn't pan out as well as we wanted..but we knew that was going to happen..it was our first party..and we knew there would be things that wouldn't get done..but still it was a little sad...but I still felt we still got a lot done. We are hoping to maybe do 2 parties this year..were hoping to do 1 early on and do things with a low crowd and then do our 2nd one in October..but we'll see..we might have to skip a 2nd one so we can do the Christmas party instead.

We're a little sad at some of the changes this year..We made the choice last year to skip doing the princess&princes since we knew before we even went that we wouldn't have the time..even tho I really wanted to do them..so we decided it would be ok because we'd do them this year..and now to know there not there this year, really sucks!
I want the chance to do different meet and greets then I can do on a normal park day and now that even the villains aren't going to be meeting instead..just makes it even worse..I was also hoping that for the parties that Anna and Elsa would be meeting together instead of separate..so all around we're disappointed on that.
Also sad that there taking out the horseshoe dance party..Bullseye is only out for that..so that really stinks..luckily we got a pic with him last year(only after chasing him around the floor for like 20 mins lol)

but hopefully after the first party we can start putting a plan together..and hopefully it will still be just as awesome.

For those debating to go or not..I say do it! It was a blast!!

Some things we got done last year:
Got our bands at 4-4:30ish
Ate Dinner
Goofed off and took pics
Got in line for dwarves at like 5:30..and the was an amazing meet&greet
Met Alice
Went to the tomorrowland dance party and tried to get pics(and failed!! )
passed by Pooh&Friends but they weren't out yet and didn't have time to wait sadly..since this was one I really wanted.
Went to H&M for ghost pic..and I wanted to see it decked out
made our way to the castle show..since I wanted to meet Cruella.
We weren't in the right spot so after the show we tried to find her and finally did (all the way on the right-facing the stage) and were so lucky to be the last family she met!
We then made our way to find a firework&parade spot.
After we secured our spot...my mom held our spot and my sis and I ran to go see if Lotso was out (a must for us) and he literally came out right as we were coming up (nice timing!!) he was literally the best character experience I think we have ever had! and yes he did smell like strawberries) we ran back to our spot and my mom wanted to see him too so my sis and her ran back and got a pic with him.
My mom and I then ran to get popcorn..and waited like 20mins in line for popcorn..and made it back just in time for the show!
I now know why everyone says that parade is the best..it is beautiful!! The music, the characters, the lights, the atmosphere, everything!!
We then made our way to Frontierland and danced with the crew..it was pretty dead in there..Jessie came over and "talked" with us. My mom shoes had became so uncomftorable that she had taken them off..and Jessie was so cute over that..trying to understand what happened to her shoes. after that my sis and I chased bullseye around trying to get a pic with him..and finally did (and good thing since it might have been the only chance for us )
We then made our way back to fantasyland in hopes that pooh&friends were still out (they werent) we then saw tweedle dee&dum out meeting with mad hatter..and were so excited..til they told us the line was already closed for them
since the party was winding down and the candy stops were finishing up my sis and I took the chance and hit a few more..and the one was finishing up so they were filling up anything you had on you..so we filled our bags,bakcpack,popcorn tub(lol)..it was hilarious..we then enjoyed just running thru the tomorrowland trying to hit more (but failed..they were all gone since it was passed 12) we then took the chance to get some pics around mainstreet.
we then met up with my mom and got in line for the pic-frame pic in townsq., we then went towards the exit..and they still had people in line for Jack&Sally (shocked) and we asked if we could have a signature card and they happily gave us 3(I had really wanted the signature card so I was so happy, so happy that I didn't even think to ask if the line was open for meeting lol), after that we headed out.it was almost 1:30 by time we got to the car..we were soo exhausted..but we had a blast.
we also learned a lot... The main 2 lessons:

Lesson 1) plan costumes differently-I loved my costume..but it was a crowded party and hot..so we were sticky..I had a short wig on so it didn't bug me so much but my mom and sis hated their wigs by the end of the night..my fishnets kept falling down which became annoying, and the shoes were the worst..I couldn't find shoes I wanted for the costume and settled with these and they were so miserable that any chance there weren't CM's around..I would take them off lol.

Lesson 2) skip trick r treating...we were so excited for this..and yes I could just go buy candy..but this was a part of why we went..was to get way more candy then we'd ever eat..and boy did we..we hit every stop in our path..and made our party path around the stops..and we hit a few trails twice..and got a bunch towards the end of the night..so we were so excited to eat our candy and found that they were all disgusting! All the chocolate candies (m&m,snickers,twix.etc) all tasted gross..I couldn't explain the taste..but its like they tasted like combination of all the different chocolate candies..I am not sure if its from being in a hot boxes mixed in the back..and then they stay in a tub outside all night where its hot..but we think we will probably skip on that this year.
we might stop the first party..since its early on in the season and maybe try it right after we get it and judge from there..I don't want to spend so much of my night getting candy that will taste gross..did anyone else experience this?

I'm hoping to get the characters we missed last year (like pooh&friends,Mickey&Minnie in costume..and if its talking mickey I might cry. Maybe some villains, Tarzan&friends,Aladdin&friends (if there out)

I am also hoping that i'll have a nice camera this time around..I just had my phone and my basic point&shoot so photo quality was horrible since it was night..My camera couldn't even focus in the tomorrowland dance party because of the lights and character colors..so I just gave up on that. We also took a bunch of pics after the park closed and was so excited to see them..and saw later on that most came out too blurry..oh well.
but i've been saving for my dream camera and I might have in it just time..altho i'm not excited to carry it around all night..and it will be my baby..so i'm going to be crazy protective over it

i'm also hoping the party doesn't get too villain themed..I know villains fit in with Halloween..but i'm not the biggest villain fan..so if I wanted a event full of villains i'd do the villain event..so hopefully they don't overwhelm the event.

Phew so that was a lot..but we really did enjoy our party..and cant wait to go this year..also cant wait to hear everyone's else favorite parts..and what there excited for this year..and i'm excited for the first party date to roll around..so we can see what's happening this year!

We're going on Halloween day and I'm SO excited! We're doing the Villain's Soiree 11:45PM seating so we have the whole party for meeting other characters and trick and treat. We're skipping the dwarfs because we're also going to MVMCP which will not be as crowded as MNSSHP. Our plan is to meet Jack Sparrown, Donald, Mickey and Tarzan, those are our priorities before the soiree.

I'm disneybouding as Minnie, my mom will not dress up.

5000 will be available, and sold at the parties while supplies last. They will be sold at the Frontierland Trading Post and the Emporium for $29.95 each, and you must link it to your MDE account at the time of purchase.

Whoo hoo! Hope you have a great trip! The party is so much fun! Were looking forward to seeing the "ghosts" too. We were in such a rush we didnt get to enjoy HM and we never found the hitch hikers photo op sadly..hopefully we spot it this time! I am so excited for Monday's report!

Oooh sounds like your going to have an awesome halloween night. I think the later party sounds like the best option too..esp. since its halloween so you know the park will be packed : Ooh your costume sounds adorable. We have some adorable Minnie ears and a whole section at work (Spirit Halloween) and I keep eyeballing them..There so cute!! :

Does anyone know how late Columbia Harbor House will be open on party nights? I was hoping for a pre-party dinner around 5:30-6:00 but I think I read somewhere that CHH will close around 5:00.... I called and a CM seemed to think it would be open until 7:00, but she wasn't sure.
