MNSSHP 2012 Thread (?)

Joining in...

We will be at the World Oct 26-Nov4 and definitely doing MNSSHP. Last year we were Toy Story 3 characters (see pic in signature). We haven't decided what we'll be this year, but I can honestly say that we discuss it EVERY. SINGLE.DAY.:headache: We are trying to come up with something better than last year and it is sooo hard! :rotfl:

Hey fellow Ohioan! I saw your photos on another thread (a costume thread, I think) - LOVED the Barbie outfit! You guys looked great! :thumbsup2

Love the Toy Story costumes for all you guys!!

Love the Toy Story costumes for all you guys!!

Thanks! We've done MNSSHP twice in the past. In '09, just the kids dressed up. Last year we all decided to do it, but I must admit, DH was a bit stubborn about his Ken costume. It took me hours to make (painted the pattern on the shirt myself), and he was a real trooper to wear it. By the end of the night, he was SOOO glad he did it. :rotfl:

We are just having a terrible time coming up with ideas for this year. The kids want us all to be coordinated as a group, so we are knocking ideas around, but we constantly keep comparing it to last year's stuff. We need to decide soon, though, because I definitely want everything ready well in advance. DH is a huge Muppets fan, so we may try to do that, but we just can't decide. DH also wants to stick with Disney characters. I thought we could be Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach, but he nixed that idea right away by saying, "We aren't going to Mario World. We're going to Disney World!" :rotfl: Hoping to come up with something by the end of April at the latest.

I look forward to planning and discussing with everyone!:goodvibes

OK, let's get this party rolling, time for pictures...

Great pictures! :yay: Love all the costumes, but especially the Alice & Mad Hatter ones. DANG I gotta come up with something good ... pirate:

Iwant2baprincess - love the photos and your costumes. thanks for sharing!

We'll be going to our first MNSSHP. I have no idea what to expect, but I'm excited!:yay:

This will be our first one as well. DH and I talk about it nearly every night! We've cruised the costume sites online, hit up friends and relatives for ideas, etc. I can't wait! :woohoo:

LOVE the costumes!! You make such a cute Alice!!

Thanks!! That was such a fun night, We did dinner at CP before the party and 2 little girls were star struck in the bathroom, walked right into a wall. I really was waiting to get stopped by CM's because I had so many people stopping me.

This will be our 4th MNSSHP! We will be in Disney October 9 - 14. First year at CSR. We love POFQ but couldn't get it with our PIN discount.

This year my DD will be a cheerleader. I asked if she wanted a blue and white uniform for University of Kentucky and she said NO. She wanted an orange and black for Halloween. I have been listening to made up MNSSHP cheers for two days now. The men in our group are going as referees. Got a good deal on E-bay for referee shirts. I am looking for something sporty for me too. I AM NOT SPORTY AT ALL. DON'T EVEN WATCH SPORTS.

I don't get to watch the fireworks. My DD is still afraid of them. We watch the parade at the end of the route in front of Town Hall and the train station, right when you walk in the entrance. It's a longer wait but so far the crowds have been pretty good. We always get a front row view. The only down side some times they are out of candy by the time they get to the end. Other times you get alot.

Count me in! :yay:

I'm planning to go during Halloween week, probably on Halloween. I've never been during that time before, so I'm really excited :dance3: I'm hoping to book/put the deposit down for our trip next week :cheer2: :woohoo:

Also, we're planning on going as zombie brides. We've gotten pretty good with zombie make-up over the past few years (our city hosts an annual zombie walk in the summer), so how detailed are we allowed to go? We usually add in some bloody looking wounds, is that too much for Disney?

What about a football jersey and do the black patches under your eyes? Simple and inexpensive. ;) And since DD is doing black/orange, you could wear a black pants and a black/orange Bengals jersey (if you can handle all the "Bengals Stink!" outcries LOL) ---- this coming from a Bengals fan, BTW ;)

I could do that and I wouldn't even realize anyone was yelling that at me! Thanks for the suggestion.

YW - plus I noticed you're in Kentucky ... not too far from Bengals Country. ;)

I found tons of cute costume ideas online, but so many of them are trashy looking for women :scared: Not everyone wants to go with their chests hanging out and their hineys showing!
