MNSSHP 2012 Thread (?)

Yay! Count me in for MNSSHP!

I loved it last year, it was so much fun.

Hopefully I'll be going as Ariel and DH is going as Linguini from Ratatouille :goodvibes x

I, too, wish they would release the dates sooner. I feel just the slightest bit uneasy booking DVC for dates where I'm kinda-sorta-pretty-sure there will be a party.

We will be there Oct. 3-7 , and I am assuming there will be a party that Thurs. or Fri. as, historically, there always appears to be a party that first weekend in October.

For those going in September and trying to get a bead on dates, you might check the official MK calendar: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/magic-kingdom/calendar/

They don't have up October up yet, but you'll note that there are a lot of dates in September where the park closes at 7:00. That's a pretty good indication that those are MNSSHP dates.

Both are totally worth every cent! And then some! Cirque is awesome too.

But MNSSHP is only seasonal and if you are lucky enough to be able to go while it's on, it is an absolute MUST do! Are you going to dress up?

Yeah I am :goodvibes I have a fairy costume I got as a gift and I never have an excuse to put it on, but it looks really nice. So I've convinced my DBF to try and find a Peter Pan Costume so we match :cutie:

There are speculative dates for the parties, although these won't be confirmed for a while.

I had a look at the park hours on the Disney website and the nights were MK closes at 7 pm are likely to be party nights However as you are going in October you may have to wait a little bit longer. I have always used previous years park hours to work around for a rough guide until official hours are released

Thanks! I noticed the same things. ;)

We'll be there between 20th September and 4th October and are hoping to go to our first MNSSHP! :)

It's our first time too. We went during MNSSHP last year, but didn't go. We thought as adults w/o kids we would be out of place - little did we know! pirate: We have definite plans to go this time around.

Anyone have their costumes figured out? And if so, wanna share? We've gone through a few things but shot them down, figuring it will be too hot while we're there.

We're thinking we'll go with a group costume. So far we have seen m & M's (I think that's what we'll end up as), crayons, pirates.) My niece wants us to be characters from Once Upon a Time; she'd be Ruby, I'd be Granny, my husband would be Mr. Gold and my dd says she would like to be Emma. Not too sure yet.

I'm so excited to go back for a halloween party!!:banana:

ETA: We're shooting for MNSSHP on 9/18.

Count us in!! We are booked at CR for Oct 17-20 and plan on doing MNSSHP on Oct 18 (Thurs).

I have costumes purchased for the kids already. DD will be Mad Hatter, all 3 of my DS will be pirates. I was looking all over for the last few months trying to find costumes that would not be hot.

Cant wait!! This will be our 1st MNSSHP! :hmghost:

we are going from 9/29-10/6 and MNSHHP is definitely on my list of "must dos"

We have tossed around a few costume ideas, but since it will still be so warm in September (it was 90+ when we were there last year), we don't want to end up being a sweaty mess by the end of the night. :scared: Still trying to figure out something that will be cool ... but still COOL. ;)

We're in!! :woohoo: Our first MNSSHP!! Planning on being there Oct. 27-Nov. 3. We want to go ON Halloween. :scared1: Are we crazy?
I have no idea what to do for costumes. It's usually freezing here at Halloween.

This will be our 2nd MNSSHP, we went last year. And it was so worth it. It's not so hot at night time, felt even quieter at the park then during the day. The fireworks were awesome, though we did miss the parade :rolleyes1 Hopefully this year we will catch it.
We will be there in Sept, so if I look @ the days it closes @7pm, we'll be attending on the 21st :D

DH & I wont likely dress up, but have to figure out what to do for my 6 year old and 3 year old. :D

I'm still waiting for the official thread too as this is the time when we do Disney and I just love Hallowishes.

That the date of Sept 30th MNSSHP is already sold out.

I was asking a cast member today about the dates for this in Sept/Oct.

Until I know what the Sept/October calendar looks like I can't really plan our dates. I'm amazed at how other people know to buy tickets this far in advance!! :rotfl:

Happy planning all!!

Did the dates even get released yet???

No the tickets aren't out yet, so not sure how a specific date is already sold out. I talked to a rep yesterday @ Disney and she said April or May the dates should be out.
