I am not wearing a costume either. But I will be wearing a rather festive Halloween t-shirt. :thumbsup2

We will not be wearing a costume either. My son won't wear one here at Halloween. So there is no need and taking one to Disney to wear. I think I will find us a neat t-shirt to wear.

I understand about not letting teenagers or adults where masks with getting them confused with cms but what about little kids? My ds 4 just got a ghost outfit and it has a little white mask, I hope we won't have any problems. It does sort of stink though because hubby and I do not want to dress up but thought it would be cool to wear some of these rennaissance masks with all the sparkles. Oh Well

What time is each parade and are they both the same?

Anyone know which area we get ushered to and at what time or are they not doing that this year? Are all the rides in that area open?

Was at Target today and got Halloween T-shirts for me and DH. Mine says "Boo" for $5. and his says "This is My Costume" for $10. That is as close as we will get to actually dressing up!

My dd9 & i will be going on Oct. 27th- no costumes and Oct. 31- I will be a fairy and dd will be cinderella. After reading all of this I really don't want to miss anything so that's why we are doing the 2 different nights. Thanks for all the great info!!!!! We are so excited! :cool1: :dance3: :bounce:

I got myself and my dd7 matching halloween tees today at target also. They were only $5 each! They also have a bunch of stuff for $1 by the door, and in all that stuff they have lots of glowsticks. I'm gonna stock up on those so I don't have to hear that dd7 wants this and that from the parade vendors!! :thumbsup2

Great ideas! I was just wondering about the free pictures I read earlier in the post that they were not free, but I keep seeing ads that mention a free picture anyone know for sure?

On this site's TA sponsor, under the halloween events, they reference free pics for each ticket.

This is a departure from last MVMCP, where each family got 1 pic.

Hope the info is correct.:Pinkbounc

We'll know for sure by this weekend. But from what I have understood, the pics are no longer free, but they will be discounting photopass for the party ticket holders for that night only.

As I'm sure SEVERAL people will be, DH and I are going as Captain Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swan (as a pirate). Part of my costume includes a sword sash (a leather belt-type thing that goes from shoulder to hip) and it will have a kids plastic sword in the holder. Will they let me bring that plastic sword into the park? Anyone know? :confused3

As far as costumes go- i'm just buying nurse scrubs and wearing that. BUT it is a Disney Halloween top though! Check Ebay for cheap costumes. Look now b-4 bidding goes up closer to Halloween.

I bought my orange canvas bags for T or Ting. All I have to do is decorate it. Plus, for fun I'm decorating the resort room window for Halloween. So, if you're at POP Oct. 16-21st and see a crazy HAlloween window stop in and say "Hi".

Lori

Lori,

We will be there sept 18-24 so we hope to see you, and will stop by to say hi. Hope you have a blast.

since they sell plastic swords in adventureland, it seems as though you could bring one in without question. also, i think i remember someone here saying they wore a plastic sword last year with no problem.
worst case scenario, you lose it at the gate but i am 99% sure you can bring in a plastic sword. as long as it doesn't impede you or anyone else.

have fun! :cool1:

Thanks outlander! We got our tickets in the mail late last week and we are SO EXCITED!!! pirate: DS4.5 can barely stand the wait! Every morning he wakes up and asks me "Mom? How many more days til Disney?" Normally I'd say such a large number that he'd say, "Is that a lot of days?" Today I told him there were only 16 days left - now that was a number he could get his head around! He got so excited he started jumping around and dancing! That's what I call Disney Magic! pixiedust:

we attended both Halloween and Xmas parties last year....we rec'd one photo per ticket as we did the previous year as well.

I'm done! I came up with a t-shirt logo for my Alien Green colored t-shirt (go DIS)! I found a pic. of the headless horseman and gave the pumpkin some Mickey ears--made it less scary. THEN I removed the sword. I put a Dole Whip in his hand, but it did not look right. So, my DH suggested a WDW TURKEY LEG. It looks fabulous. It's Disney, it's Halloween and it's not too disgusting. If you see us on the 29th, say hello!

how creative!
we'll look for you on the 29th!

I'm not sure if this has been covered so please forgive me....I picked up a couple grass skirts for my dd's (6 & 8) to wear over their swimsuits. Also have flower lei, headband, bracelets, etc. Next week looks like it will be in the upper 80's to low 90's. Do you think this will be o.k.??? Thanks.

Cat04 I think the girls will be just fine! I thought of the coconuts bra and grass skirt but I just cant. Instead I am a belly dancer, DS and DH are pirates of course. See everyone at IASW on the 29th at 6:30 pm.

Wonder why we only got one (albiet a great shot, sitting on my desk next to my monitor)?

Were the pics "duplicates" of the same group shot?
