Mnsshp 2006-tips Only

Forgive me if someone answered this earlier but i saw someone mentioned a "doom buggy" being parked outisde so you can get your picture taken in it. Does anyone know more about this?

We didn't see a doom buggy (but that would be really cool!) last year, but Cinderella's glass coach was parked over by IASW (I think)...most people walked right by it, but it was neat to see and have a picture taken in front of!

I think it is the hearse carriage that is parked out front of the HM that you might be thinking of.

I hope they do this again this year, I'd love to see the glass coach in person. Hoping to convince DH that a vow renewal (including a ride in the coach) is in our future, lol!

Boardwalk does trick or treating and so does DTD.

Some other resorts might also do some trick or treating. Not sure though.

Well, I hope he does ride in both. We have ADRs at Epcot and will be cutting it close for the 8pm parade. In the event that we miss the start of that one, I'd like the chance to see the second. I'm going to try to move my ADRs up a bit, but I don't know if I'll be able to. We'll see.

I just heard from Deb and she said that the info on her website is based on last year (not this year) and that she thought he didn't ride for the second parade. Not sure why she thought that but its not correct or it could be that she was there on a rainy night. He only doesn't ride if it rains and the ground is wet.

I was there last Oct and I always see the second parade and he did ride during the second parade.

I also found 2 reviews from 2005 where the poster mentions seeing the Headless Horseman during the second parade.

Review One (post 12)

Review Two

Just want to relieve the fears of those who want to see him during the second parade. :goodvibes

This is good news. I thought he only rode during the first, so I was sure I was going to have change my ADRs so we could make that parade. Now, I know that if we don't make the first one, we can see him in the second. Thanks!

I find it really sad that the cost has gone up so much for this years party and they arn't even giving the free photos any more?!??!?! This is getting way to expensive! I love MNSSHP, and had planned on 2 parties this year, Sept 15, since it is the day after my 50th B'day, and my BF is flying in for her first trip to WDW for it!!! And then a big family trip with DB, SIL, DN, and my family and DDs GF! Really wanted a photo of all of us! DRAT

Just an FYI...

You can subscribe without posting to a thread by just going to "thread tools" above and clicking on "subscribe to this thread". :goodvibes

Subscribe to this thread is not an option on the thread tools unless you have made a post on the thread. At least on my computer.

I can subsribe to any thread that I want to without posting. On my setup, once I am in a thread, there is a pull-down called "Thread Tools" that lets me subscribe.

Thanks, I know I can subscribe, but I am trying to be a mousketeer. Its been driving me nuts since I hit 60 posts. I am more of a lurker and have been on dis for over a year.

We went to the first MNSSHP last year and there was a doom buggy outside of the Haunted Mansion that they were taking pictures in, they made us get in then we had to act like there was a ghost to the right....so in the picture we are both staring off to the right looking like we see something really scary. It was great and it was put on our PhotoPass so we could order a copy when we got home.

Didn't anyone else see this last year?

I purchased my tickets for September 22nd on Wednesday. :cool1: I'm so looking forward to it. We won't be dressing up, but I am going to wear a Halloween t-shirt.

Oh, you guys, I am NOT HAPPY. I just tapped into the thread about how Disney is now allowing everyone (yes, even those without wristbands) to stay for the MNSSHP! So we will all be dealing with the crowds and then those of us who paid for the special tickets. Disney will not be clearing the crowds out like they normally do. I am FURIOUS! :furious:

If the CM's can't (and often times don't) control those who cut in line, then I really don't see any real enforcement of those who get in line without wristbands. :sad2:

The thread starts out saying there is no more free MNSSHP pictures. Then some folks called to get more information and that is when we found out our "special tickets" that we paid hard-earned money for is not so "special".

If anyone has different information, please share. I am so frustrated about this.

OK -- Here's an update . . .

I just called the Disney Switchboard (407-824-4321) and asked for a supervisor. I spoke with Ginger. She works "on behalf" of the supervisors (whatever that means).

Anyway, this is what she said, "What you said is a rumor. You must have a wristband to stay in the park. Anyone without one will be asked to leave by security and/or a CM."

I then asked, "Well what if they just want to stay to watch the parade and/or the fireworks"? She responded, "Absolutely not. They must have a wristband." She did add that it is virtually impossible to make sure everyone has a wristband, but that security and the CM's watch for them.

We will see . . .

Oh, she also said that the park is scheduled to close at 6:00pm to decorate, not 7:00pm as some have heard. Again, we will see. I hope what she is saying is correct.

Which way does the Headless Horseman run? MS to Frontierland?

Going for the first time Oct. 17th -can't wait!!!!

How does everyone get all their candy home??
