MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

Another thing, don't know if it's been mentioned here or not, haven't had time to plow through 60 pages, is the pins. If you collect pins, be advised that you can only get the Halloween party pins during the party. They are really cool, they have a DIFFERENT ONE FOR EACH PARTY NIGHT. We were able to pick up ones from the previous parties too, as long as they are available. They do limit the number you can purchase though. Just wanted to pass this along.

Is there a certain shop in MK that sells these during the party? I missed buying one last year & don't want to miss out this year!

There is a pin released for each party. The pins were available for purchase at Exposition Hall and the Trading Post last year. There is a limit of only 2 pins per wristband. So, each member of your group can purchase 2 pins.

There is a special AP pin. You must have an AP to purchase. That pin is also limited to 2 pins per wristband & AP.

For those going to the earlier parties, you have a better chance to obtain the special JUMBO pin that is always released for the parties. There is a limit of 1 pin per wristband. There is also a limited number of framed sets that are offered. The framed sets are really expensive, but usually are pretty neat. The framed sets are limited to 2 per wristband.

If you are going to a party later on in the course of the parties, you may find that unsold pins from the earlier parties are available for purchase. Last year, they were on sale at Uptown Jewelers. The pins from each other the previous night's parties are limited to 2 from each particular night per wristband. (Side note: I was able to purchase pins from 4 prior MVMCP's at one of the MVMCP's that we attended last year...we bought 2 of each of the 4 and used them as traders.....they made GREAT traders.)

Ok, now you know what they did last year. I will be keeping my eyes open for any changes over at www.dizpins.com Maggie

Thank you for the info!

I have 2 DDs that I am trying to find costumes for. One wants to be Alice in Wonderland and the other wants to be Cinderella in the blue ball gown. Just got back from Disney World and their girls sizes only go up to girls 10-12. Both my girls would wear a girls 14. Ladies sizes are too big. I can't find their sizes anywhere. Can anyone help me find a place to get these. Can't make them myself, I'm just not that talented!!! :rotfl2: We'll be at the party on September 29th.

Thanks!!!!

Try www.buycostumes.com - they have a good variety! Good luck!

I read on another thread that the park will not be closing at 6pm like it has in the past. Has anyone else heard this? I really hope this is not the case. I know we are given wristbands, but will others be able to stay & enjoy the parades, fireworks, trick or treating, ect? How fair is that? I am not subscribed to TGM, but this is where they said they read this info.

ETA: I just checked the park hours on the Disney site & now instead of showing a 6pm closing on the party nights it says 7pm. So when will they decorate :confused3

I saw an Alice in Wonderland costume on ebay that was handmade (lined) and beautiful. The bidding started at $30 so I emailed the lady and asked if she could make the dress in other sizes and she said she would. The example was lovely. She might make other costumes also...not sure about that.

You have asked the golden question. No one is really sure what's going on...some are reporting it as a glitch, some are reporting that it's true. No one will know for sure until the night of the first party, September 15th. Which is when I'll be there, actually.

Hiya

Any ideas what kinds of merchandise are available to buy at the partys?

And you will report to us live from Disney right :teeth:

Can you please tell me what this ebayer's id is so I can look at her dresses?

Thanks!

I bookmarked that site when you posted it the first time :)
It's a great site! I'm planning on getting some VMK shirts for my girls for when we do the In Park Quest.
The thing I love about it is you can pick your own type of t-shirt and the color! I cannot wear regular t-shirts because they feel so confining, so I'm glad I have a choice.
Thanks for the link!

P.S.
Has anyone seen an Ursula costume? I'm thinking of making one, but it cannot be so big and confining. I have some ideas in my head, but if anyone recalls seeing a photo of a DIS'er in a past costume, or something like that, can you post it for me? Thanks!

Yeah, I love that site! I have a couple tank tops I've gotten from there. Infact, last year DTwin and I went to the MNSSHP and we dressed up as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and we wore Tweedle tanks tops that we bought from Zazzle....BTW, and Ursula costume is a fantastic idea-I love it! I haven't seen any, but I hope you find something, b/c that's too great. Good luck!

We finally got the costume thing together. My girls just couldn't make up their minds for the longest time. My DD9 will be Mulan, DD4 will be Minnie Mouse, and DD2 will be Snow White. Since there are 3 adults(Dh, my mom, and myself) and 3 kids, each adult will wear a t shirt(that I designed) that says " Mulan's official MNSSHP(it has the MNSSHP logo) candy tester". The same for Snow White, and Minnie Mouse. The t shirts are black and we'll probably wear jean shorts or something. That's the best I could get DH and my mom to do.

Re: The Alice in Wonderland costume...the ebay sellers username is: rileybrit. Looks like right now she only has a Dorothy costume up for sale but she would probably make another Alice if you emailed her. The feedback on the Alice costumes was very good. Good luck!
