MNNSHP & Photopass

I know you can get a photopass at MNNSHP that is just special for the party, I think. Does anybody know what the photopass for just the party costs? We are debating on whether or not to get a regular photopass (preorder) or to just get the one from the party and have the photographers take our picture with our own camera during the rest of our stay.

I just looked at mine and it's 40% off all prints from that night.

I'll never preorder the CD again since I drove the family nuts tracking down photopass photographers to take pictures of us. I wanted to get our money's worth from it. By the end of the trip, no one but me would smile for the photographer. Oooops.

Just to be clear to the OP -- the Photopass itself doesn't cost anything -- at the party or not. It's printing the photos / ordering the CD that costs something. So if you get a PP card at the party, and you don't like any of the photos, it costs you nothing. If you get home (or in the parks) and want to purchase a print - it will be the standard price, which I think is $12 for a 5x7 (that might be wrong - I can't remember tonight) less the discount mentioned above.

Would it be 40% off just prints or would it be 40% off the CD also? I am interested in the CD from the party, not just prints.

You can use the discount code from the party pass to order the CD at a 40% discount. This can be applied to prints of party photos purchased during the party or can be used as a one-time discount online on all prints ordered regardless of when the photos were taken.

I did not think you can get the CD for 40% off? If you attend the party, you can get the card that gives 40% off pics but you can apply that to all the pics done weather at MNSSHP or not. but i don't think it applies to CD.

We were told the same thing during the party last year. But it sounds like if you order at home using that code you will get the discount. You can read more about it on bradks site but it doesn't list the CD portion in this portion:

PhotoPrints - Very often there is a discount available on PhotoPrints ranging in the 20-25% range. Look for the special offer when signing into your disneyphotopass.com account or check the Special Offers tab. Also, as of 2006, Disney replaced the free portrait traditionally offered to guests attending the Pirate and Princess, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas parties with special Disney's PhotoPass cards that offered the guest a discount off of prints only. In 2008, the discount continues to be 40% off all prints. This can be applied to prints of party photos purchased during the party or can be used as a one-time discount online on all prints ordered regardless of when the photos were taken.

We pre-ordered the CD and had photopass for the whole trip added, including all the pics from MNSSHP.

If you go to a photo center at the park they will put all your photo passes together on one for you so you dont have to do it when you get home, just add the one to your order.

The 40% off is for prints only, sorry no CD.

that's all correct. discount is on prints. either during the party, or as a one time online discount for all prints. not the CD.

there is a way to get PhotoCD for $50 (through NYC WOD) but no enhancements.

i also don't recommend having them combine photopass cards on site. i've heard of multiple cases where photos have gotten lost that way.

That's what I was afraid of. I was just trying to save a few bucks. I really would like all of the borders and extra things you can enchance the pictures with for the special parties, but it is so much cheaper to either print them out at home or go to Sam's Club, so that is why I was wanting the CD @ 40% off. Maybe I will just have to pre-order the photopass and just put the party pics on it too. Thanks for all the info.!

The only way to add enhancements to CD's is at home. If you buy the CD at the park you won't get any extras added. The pics taken during the party are tagged as such in the system so you should be able to add the Halloween borders without a problem. If you buy prints at the park they can add the enhancements there, but it's only on a one by one basis, no mass edits.

what more is there to know? you can bring cards to NYC WOD and purchase the photo CD.

they keep limited hours though.
