MM Warriors - Three Steps to Good Health (As of 11/18)

Everyone is very quiet tonight. I'm talking over in facebook and waiting for you guys! Love all of you!:grouphug:

Good Evening! I have finally gotten all my "stuff" done for the day and am ready to go back to work tomorrow so I can relax! :lmao: Seems like my days off are more exhausting than a day at the desk...besides Dennis and Rick, I have a friend home just out of hysterectomy surgery, and a friend home just out of knee surgery...around these parts NOTHING is close by, so making the rounds takes all darn day long!!

Nell - glad to see you back, we missed you, although Im sure your parents appreciated all the time with you! Geez, I know we are all MM warriors, but one of God's Warriors too? Well, I guess you could call it that, as I am always trying to spread the word and get others to open their eyes and hearts to His Word...but Im afraid that some people, like our little scam artist are just lost souls...so sad. You are also SO RIGHT about not getting married in a woods full of bugs....OH THE HORROR!!!:eek::eek: Not to mention the possiblity of copperheads and rattlesnakes....um, NO WAY!! I have a gorgeous view from my front yard, so I think that would suffice just fine...all depends on finding the right Pastor...I actually have a good friend back north who is a former fellow officer and also a JP, and he has done some really emotional and wonderful weddings for friends, and Im sure he would be honored to do it...but I DO need at least a small private church ceremony to feel married in the eyes of the Lord...there is a little teeney weeney southern Baptist church right at the bottom of my driveway, and Im sure the neighbors would be totally THRILLED to marry us there! Of course it would be a very great honor to me if I could convince Pastor Falwell to come out from Thomas Road Baptist and marry us...but he is so busy and ministering to such a huge congregation that might be a pipe dream!

Love your new photos, cant wait to see what you have up your sleeve for Christmas cards!!

Lisa - I think you are right about that Doc sending the embezzler to nursing school! Any thoughts on the Tiger Woods debacle? My vote is he is far from "clean" in this matter!

Jocelyn - so glad you have at least a temp computer!! If you dont mind my asking, what happens if you have your feet on the floor too long? I might have missed something, but I never understood that you were disabled in any way...my vision of you is some sort of whirlwind with all that you do!!

Barb - it really is amazing the lengths people will go to ...like it never crosses their minds to just play by the rules everyone else does.... Makes me crazy that these people have children and are raising them to believe this is OK...no wonder there are so many screwed up people out there...

Have to go wrap up my "Elderly Angel" gifts, round up my canned foods for the "Christmas Dinner Box", pack up the gently used jackets and sweaters for the clothing drive along with the 10-pack of new socks I decided to throw in there...everything is due at work tomorrow!!! The soup kitchen we used to work with at my old church always collected new socks...whenever anyone came in to get food, they always wanted socks...I guess I know how that feels, since I am such a fuzzy sock freak myself...if your feet arent comfortable the rest of you isnt either!

Jocelyn's chili in the crockpot, broccoli-cheese soup on the stove and a boneless pork roast in the oven....and MORE TEA tonight!! YAY ! (Love you Lisa!!)

Robin: I usually don't like to prejudge, but I think Tiger brought some doo-doo home and that poor wife of his has two babies! If he did that to me, I'd beat his car and more LOL!

Love you, too, Robin! It's quiet tonight. Off to bed after SYTUCD. Big real estate day tomorrow.

Kathy,
I enjoyed the two videos, especially LEAN ON ME. What wonderful, spiritual lyrics! It's always been one of my favorites.

I'm posting a link to my husband's band's MySpace page in case anyone would like to look at that, too. They're a bunch of "Old Geezers" but people seem to enjoy them. My husband is the redhead guitar player. I think he's the only one without a ponytail.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm pretty over the whole music scene myself but thought you guys might like to see a part of my life.

Enjoy

I was bored so I answered a newer person's question on the met B board. I hope that doesn't open a can of worms. I hope everyone is less busy tomorrow. Love you guys! (girls) :grouphug:

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well where you are this morning. Not much going on here. Rain on the way :( Wish I could send this rain to everyone else except Robin LOL.
Carol, I will check out your husband's site when I get home tonight. I will need to charge my other laptop with the pink screen, broken fan, and keys missing on the keyboard LOL. I really need to take this one to the shop to see if they can download me my sound driver I need. I don't know if I reformat into Windows 7 if it may reload it or not.
Robin, where ever you get married, I am sure it will be wonderful. Love doesn't care where it joins together.
Ok, have to get ready to take Carrie to school. Have a great day everyone!!:grouphug:

Good Morning! Kathy, too late with the rain thing, in fact we might have sent it on up to you folks! It started here again yesterday late afternoon and is quite dismal and gloomy this morning...and the nice 65 degree weather turned overnight into 50 this morning! UGH...ooh well, at least my day off was nice most of the day for all my errands and running around.

Carol - thanks for sharing the link to your hubby's band! I am an old-timer in the music business too...played guitar and sang in a band through college! Long long time since I have played, but am still an AVID music lover and critic too! LOL I have never logged on to my space, but will plan to do that later tonight!

Nell - OMG, I know you were bored last night, but I hope you havent sent the new forum into gossip mode again!! I hadn't even looked in there in weeks, and the last time I did, it was just as boring and confusing as ever, so I gave up even trying to figure out who was who and what the heck was going on. And the advice they were giving each other made me laugh!! Oh well, live and let live, and to each his own!

Lisa - good luck with your big real estate day today, praying for good results for you!!

Off to feed the "furballs" and then on to work, everyone have a GREAT MM Day!!:grouphug:

Standing joke is that is why she already had golf club in her hand, it was her and the club that damaged his face, not the accident. Why can't we all just play nice? From what I've seen today, it appears that he is quite the ladies man in Vegas.

Wow, things have really been quiet lately. Where is everyone? I am at work today. It's a dreary cold day, but luckily no rain. Heard there is snow in the forecast, so I'm going to try to take some plants in tonight to winter them in the basement. No harm in trying, right?

My left knee is bothering me today and have given out twice as I walked around the office (dealing with more computer problems - YUCK!). I hope it's nothing serious, because I don't want to give up my Zumba.

Lisa - good luck today with all of your mega real-estate deals. There is a house close to ours that had started out at $250,000 on short sale, but now is in full foreclosure and has dropped to $204,500 (some idiot turned off the power and the sump quit so there was water in the basement so they tore out all the drywall, etc.). It needs a new roof, 20 year old upkeep stuff. Our friend thinks we should offer the bank $150,000 and see what they say. I would love to live over in the neighborhood where so many of our friends are, but when I mention it to DH, he seems to ignore me (I think he has selective hearing). Oh well, God must have other plans for me.

Well, back to work, I'll check in later.

Hi Bev. It's quiet here and at work today. We have snow in the forecast next week too  It never snows around here unless I have a family Christmas party planned  Last two years we were snowed out. Have you had trouble with your knee before? If it doesn't go away soon, I'd have it looked at. You don't want to make a minor problem worse

Good morning everyone! I mean good afternoon! I'm defrosting the other Turkey that I was able to get thanks to all of you. It's going to make fabulous turkey salad. I only wish you were all here so I could share it with you!

There's supposed to be a storm blowing in. It's certainly blowing out there and overcast, but so far no storm. Well, got to eat and check what everyone had to say this morning.

I didn't even think that it might affect their support to one another. I feel terrible. I was reading over there and saw someone struggling with something that I could help. I should sign up under a pseudonym in case I have something to offer over there for some reason. I haven't been their in months either, just popped over last night. I found it nice to read the new people discovering what it was like for their food cravings going away and the energy coming. I want to be reminded. I hope I didn't inadvertently cause any harm.

Good Morning ALL

Quiet at home, too!! There is not a cloud in the sky at the moment - quite blue and sunny!! I hope the pool isn't too cold today as I haven't been able to swim for a few days. It will be nice to just be outside, though.

I made the breakfast quiche and cream cheese gingerbread muffins yesterday. Breakfast is organized for the next couple of days. I also got the menagerie organized under the Christmas tree.

I was reading through some of the posts on the OTHER thread yesterday, too. It seems a lot of people have gone back to step one after Thanksgiving at Diane's suggestion. It really is a mismash of stuff, though. They do periodically wonder what happened to the original group!!! If they wouldn't start a new thread for every idea it would be a lot easier to follow. Oh well......

Have a great MM day everyone.

I signed up under another name in case I thought I could help someone, Nell. It is fun to read about how well some of them are doing. Their posts seems to be slowing down, too, though. I just think a lot of people have so much going on this time of year - especially if they have family around.

Hi Jocelyn. How did those gingerbread muffins turn out? I'd love the recipe :)

Afternoon everyone. Just stopping in quick to say hi. It has started raining here around 2, and it's windy and gloomy. I took an hour nap and feel a bit better. I need to work this evening, but may put it off until tomorrow or this weekend.

I'll be checking back in later.

Nell, enjoy the turkey. If it had been this cold earlier, I may have done the same thing.
We are also supposed to get some snow. Mostly snow showers and flurries. Love the snow, hate the cold. Why can't it snow and be 80*? Only in my dreams I guess. That would be so neat to go swimming while it's snowing!!!

I have always wanted to sit in a hot tub at night while it's snowing. I think that would be the coolest thing!

I'm feeling better today...no more chills and my sore throat has gotten better. Still hurts but not on fire. Glad to be back in the land of the living. The rest of the family is battling various forms of this. My grandson just vomited all over my new braided rug, so that has been hosed off and is drying outside. The youngest has a drippy nose and some of the others have headaches. HO HO HO Merry Christmas! seems like it's always this time of year that people in my family are dropping like flies.

Nell, Love the new picture. How did your turkey turn out?

Kathy, You can send the rain here..don't necessarily want the cold but we would take the rain. See what you can manage. I hope your knee is getting better.

Barb, Well, what is there to be said about the weather and family get togethers? It's totally the luck of the draw! I hope it doesn't get you all snowed in to where you can't get together. Maybe all that snow will head down this way and you'll have our boring sunshine.

Beverly, Hoping that your knee gets better, too. It might need to be stretched as sometimes things tighten up and can cause it to buckle.

Robin, Just click on the link I posted for my husband's band and it will take you to their MySpace page. My husband is the lead guitarist (usually on the right hand side of the lead singer) and very good..I'm just so sick of the music scene that it's hard for me to appreciate this band.

Jocelyn, Okay, what are these gingerbread muffins you're making ? They sound delicious. Hope your computer problems get resolved with the new cord.

I've been kind of floating between Step 1 and the step where you eat whatever you want and pretend that it won't go right to fat. Will go back to a full step 1 when this illness is over and the stress hormones have backed off. I sure felt them kick in when i was really sick...I was weepy, crabby and had a mild case of insomnia. I was sooo wired, just like I would get right before my period. Not a pleasant dejavue!

Good wishes to all,

Carol
