Carol and Nell: Is it possible for you to know at lunchtime when your dinner will be? I almost always schedule in a carb dam at 3, since I know dinner will be more than 5 hours from lunch. I have a cup of tea and a snack at around 3 - 3:30. I don't think it's best to try to cram one in while you're cooking and approaching your deadline. If you go to bed really early after dinner and you get up within 5 hours to go to the bathroom, you could probably skip that bedtime snack until you've been asleep for awhile. I'd say err on the side of caution though and put it in at bedtime if you have any doubts because eating a few grapes, for example, is much better than eating a bagel in your sleep!
