Which day of the weekend, Sunday or Monday, will be more crowded at WDW? I am trying to plan where to go and would like to know which of these days usually has larger crowds?

Thanks

From what I have read/heard, Monday is the busiest. I hope I'm right because we re-arranged our schedule to avoid the parks on Monday!!.................P

Last year the actual day was the busiest. MGM was mobbed. I had to wait an hour and half just to do TOT. As soon as the "weekend" was over the park was empty and you could walk on to almost any ride but the actual day was brutal. Good luck!!

I was thinking that Monday wouldn't be as crowded because people would need to leave sometime that day to be at work on Tues. Am I way off base on this one?

On Monday - we are going to Downtown Disney late morning and into the afternoon. Then we are going to head over to Epcot around 3pm. We are also hoping the crowds will start packing it in by the afternoon and head home.

Sunday - we were originally going to try MK as early entry, but have changed over to AK for the day. We are spending both Saturday and Sunday evenings at AKL - one night at Boma and one night the kids will do Simba's Cubhouse.

I think your schedule will be fine. Like you said even if those coming only for MLK weekend have late flights out - they should be heading out by the time you want to go to Epcot. And I don't believe Downtown Disney will be that much more crowded due to MLK. Have a great time!

I was thinking the same as you, mom2boys. I was thinking that saturday and sunday will be most crowded with crowds thinning on Monday. The 15 day forecast has the weather looking rather cold.
Jan 16 Friday- 63/39 - yes, 39 for the low.. boohooo!
Jan 17 Saturday- 59/39
Jan 18 Sunday- 61/43
Maybe this will keep some of the locals home over the weekend. If its going to be mobbed at the parks on Monday, I may have to re do my scheule. I hate crowds!
