MK to WL - Boat or Bus?

This is our first time staying at the WL. Would anyone know which is the fastest way to WL from MK?

We have a 2pm ADR at Crystal Palace on our departure day and we'll need to be back at the WL for our 4:30 pm DME bus.

Am I cutting it close?

I'm trying to change this ADR, but having no luck. DS3 really wants to dine here - otherwise I'd cancel it.

Any tips or suggestions appreciated!

The boat is a very nice and relaxing way to get from MK to WL or vise versa. However, if you are stuck waiting for a boat, it could take a while before the next one comes along. Then again, a bus is no different either, we have been known to wait for a bus (midday) for 30+ minutes to get back to our resort. Do I think the 2pm ADR is pushing it? No, but you never know what the transportation will be like. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Good luck.

keep trying to change it...if you really want to go there, check every day and a couple times a day the week before you leave. I was able to get Chef Mickey a couple different slots the week before I left last time. It was booked all summer... then I got lucky the week before we left. People cancel as it gets closer and they have their plans more set. good luck!

Cutting it too close. That time on your DME pick up could be anywhere from 2 hours 45 min before flight or 3 hour 15 before flight. Plus the time you get on your info the night before departure is the time the bus LEAVES, not the time you board(like your flight time is the time the flight departs, not the time you have to be at the gate). You need to be at the stop ready to go, bags and carryons retrieved from bell services 15min before the time on your boarding time. Worse case is your pick up is at 4:15, you need to be at the stop ready to go by 4. If you have anything stored with bell services you should allow 15-20 min to get it, so you will need to be at bell services by 3:45. Your ADR is 2pm, but if they are running late(sounds like a possibility if you can't change your ADR), you should be done about 1 hour after seating, so in the 3 to 3:15 range if your lucky. There is a parade everyday at 3, so you will have to fight that crowed to the exit. The boat ride, if you don't have to wait is about 15/20 min so now you are getting to the resort about 3:40ish tough, but doable. The bus will be a faster ride, but they are less frequent so the overall time is about the same.

If you are seated late or there is any delay in transportation you could find yourself scrambling for a cab to the airport.
