MK Thanksgiving Day

Would we be ok taking a midday break this day? We for sure want to see wishes, and had thought about going to the room for a small break after the 3:00 parade, then come back in time for the fireworks. Is it possible it will be so crowded that we will have trouble getting back in?

I don't believe that the parks will reach that stage of closing for Thanksgiving....I have entered the parks in the afternoon and have had no issues.

We were in the Magic Kingdom last Thanksgining and the park did reach capacity in the afternoon. we left around 4 pm and they were not letting anyone in. It did open back up later.

Maybe if it happens this year, they will open back up, too. I know we will be there through the parade because my daughter's cheer group is in it. We will leave for a while after that and hopefully it will be opened back up so that we can come back around 8 or so.

There are only two days of the year I wouldn't try this...maybe 3. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Never done New Years, but we did both Thanksgiving and Christmas last year. We left both times around 1pm. Christmas was definitely more busy than Thanksgiving, but even on T-giving I'm pretty sure they closed entrances in the afternoon. You may luck out and be able to get back in, but I wouldn't count on it.
