Ok, So my original MK shoot was scheduled for Saturday Aug 9th at 6:00 in the morning, which worked out great because my hair dresser would still be in Orlando. (We are bringing ours from home) THEN, at my last planning session they moved us to Sunday the 10th at 6:00, not a big deal,my sister decided we would try it ourselves..THEN, yesterday they called and rescheduled us for 5:00A.M.!!! I'm not to happy.. And I don't want my prego sister waking up at 3 in the morning.. will will prob get into a fight!!

We did get a free upgrade to the 30x24 portrait though!

So, I need suggestions? If you had a shoot, who did you use? Where you happy with them? How much should I expect to have to have to pay for something like this? Is it worth it to do hair and make-up? Do I call the list of beauticians that Disney gave me??

Thanks so much... I'm really worried about our shoot being so early!! Goodness, don't know what I would do without the help of you ladies!!(I think I wouldn't have any hair left to have put up, I would have pulled it all out by now!!)

I had the 6 am shoot & hired beaute speciale to do hair and make up. Lily was at our hotel at 3:30 am to start. Hair was $65 make up was $50 and there is a $50 charge for them coming before 6 am.

I think it was totally worth it...I know I would have hated the pics I paid $1000 for if I didn't have hair & makeup done.

Thanks, thats what I am thinking. I am paying for these pics myself, and would hate for my hair to be ruining them! Thanks so much! Was your shoot at 5:00? Your pics did turn out nice, I was worried about it being so dark.

exactly...whats another $150ish when you're already spending $1000 :rotfl2:
lol...also...lucky you getting that upgrade!!

Haha.. plus its always nice to have your hair done for an extra day!!
Did you get the 20x24?
At first she asked me if I would be interested in a 8x10 to help us adjust to an earlier shoot.. but I wasn't!! So I got to give us a bigger picture.. Everyone that comes into our house will know that we were married in Disney!!

3 months and I still have not gotten any of our pics enlarged...I've been meaning to...it's on my to-do list! LOL

to-do lists, they suck!!!!
And Disney charges alot of money to get the portraits, if it didn't come with our package I wouldn't have one!

Do you know of any other hair dressers that people used in case Lily is already booked?

Hey! I didn't have a MK photoshoot but I did have an Epcot photoshoot the morning of my wedding. My shoot was at 9 am and my hair and makeup person came around 6:30 am. My wedding was at 2:30 and my hair and makeup still looked perfect... actually a bit better because my curls fell just a tiny bit.... and it was WINDY on wedding day but you can't tell in any of my pics because my hair still looks great. I used About Face and our person was Naomi... she is super nice and does a great job! Here are our wedding pics if you want to see my hair and makeup. https://www.collages.net/ConsumerSite/GuestLogin.aspx?eventcode=339651

Your hair and pics looked really great as well, did you have Naomi come to your room, or did you have to meet her at the salon?

She came to our room! She ended up doing my hair and makeup and also my mother's- she is wearing the gold dress in my pics. I really do recommend her though, she was very calming when I was freaking out the morning of our wedding! :)

haha.. I think getting me out might be a problem to... 3:00a.m. comes to early!! Do you remember how much you had to pay her?

I think it was around $250ish... but that was hair and make up for me AND my mom! I remember talking to Naomi and she told me that she's had to be up really early for MK shoots and I was SO glad that wasn't me! I don't think all the makeup in the world would make me look half way decent!
