MK Parking and Opening Ceremony

I have never seen MK's opening ceremony and it's on our Disney Bucket List to do. I understand that the show is about 10 minutes before the opening time (in my case, it's listed at 9:00 am, so the show should be apprx. 8:50?)

If we are driving from AoA to MK, what would be a good time to leave to find a spot and see the Opening Ceremony?

This is also our first time driving to MK, so I do not know how parking works or how much time we need to get from the parking lot to MK. I am reading you need to take a tram and a boat or take the monorail...I just want to know what I am getting into before we head over.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

You did not state the DATE you area going. If it is a BUSY time, I'd add 15-20 minutes to
the time.

1. Yes.
2. Leave the resort 60-75 minutes before the posted opening time.
3. The Tram would be to get from your car to the TTC loading area (or you could walk.)
Monorail to the MK gates is the way to go in the mornings to save time.

All of that said, I would rather take the MK bus from the resort, as it will put you directly at the MK gates.
No monorail or ferry boat needed.

I enjoy driving to TTC and taking the ferry to MK, but if I was staying on-site and trying to make it there for the opening ceremony, I would take the bus to MK that day. Now, if I did drive, I would plan to leave the resort by 7:30 am. Then when I got to TTC, if the express monorail had a long line, or was not running, I would get on the resort monorail.

Also note that they do the opening show before Extra Magic Hours on days the MK opens early for resort guests, but then not again for the "regular" park opening time. Enjoy!

MKW is approximately 7 minutes long and currently takes place at 8:40 AM-don't be late!

We always drive (stay offsite) we get to the Ttc around 8 or slightly before (Normal hours opening) . Takes us about 30 minutes it seems to get to parked, to the Ferry/ monorail, through the bag check, tickets and into the front of Mk for the show. We go in Oct
