MK Parade float stops

The last two times we visited MK one of the highlight of my daughters' trip was to dance with the characters in the parade.

I was able to strategically choose our parade route viewing spot because of postings by Disney Enterntainment Cast Members who posted the locations of each float stop on this board.

We are now planning on returning to MK in March 2003 and would like to do this again. Since the search function is disabled, does anyone know where the floats stop in the MK afternoon parade?

Thanks

There are five stops--although sometimes they have to be eliminated because of weather or some other problem. I'm only positive about the exact location of one of them. Stand in front of or across the street from Liberty Tree Tavern. The Snow White float stops there--and later the Princess float stops there as well. Snow White brings the little ones out on the street and they dance in a circle. With the Princess float, the bridesmaids bring little children out and they circle the float and wave at the Princesses. I'll try to find out the other four stops and post them. I know one is somewhere around the circle by the castle and another is somewhere along Main Street--but don't know exactly where you should stand.

It's such a mad rush because no one can let someone elses kid do something theirs arent'. My daughter got picked we didn't know what was going on the parents around us were shoving their kids at the characters.I have never seen such rudeness before they would trample over my kid to get their kid over . I don't ever push my daughter but it always seem like they come to her.Maybe because she is the only one sitting and waving and not rushing the parade, something meant to be a cute idea again ruined by the masses

I just have a funny story to share regarding the parade stops. We took my oldest son to WDW when he was three. At the time he was in love with Snow White and the dwarves which he called the HI HO Guys. We were sitting across from the Liberty Tree Tavern when they stopped and picked him to dance with them. He was so happy and excited I cried. Im sure the characters did not want to dance with him as he was sweaty, shirtless and covered with melted chocolate from a Mickey ice cream. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

In Dec., we didn't know where to sit for the stops, I just hoped. I picked wrong for the Princesses (which my DD2 would have loved) but we got the brooms. This turned out to be a HUGE highlight for my DS5. The broom kept high-fiving him and one CM pretended to dump the bucket on DS's head. In the end DS was holding a bucket in each hand, like a broom, standing right next to the broom just beaming :teeth: ! I do have it all on video but was not quick enough to get it on camera as well :( , would have been such a great shot. DH was in line at the barber shop so he missed it but got to see it on video later. We were sitting at the end of Main Street, nearest the park entrance. Both of my kids were picked to dance (slow day, had been raining, not much competition ;) ) but DD2 didn't know what to make of the brooms and came running back to me. She would love to dance with Snow, I'll try for that next time.
