Don't know what is wrong with me, I'm trying to plan my trip (5/28-6/5) and I have no idea which park when!! I've been to WDW many times before but for some reason I can't make a decision. My husband wants to go to MK on Sunday. Is that right or is it really busy that day? He said it's a travel day for most so crowds are light. Any ideas? I almost feel like "winging" this trip since I can't seem to get it together!! TIA

I always assumed that MK would be busy on Sunday, too, but nothing I have read in books or on the various websites has indicated that. They DO say to avoid it on Saturday, though (and on EMH days).

It looks like we are going to to MK on a Sunday, mostly because that is the day we arrive.

I am interested in hearing what others have to say.

I've been on Sunday a few times and never found them overly crowded, not empty by any means but pretty manageable none the less. :)

Sunday of Mem Day weekend? That would be very crowded. You are staying long enough to shift MK to some other time. I'd probably try to tour resorts or something and stay out of all parks May 29th. If you have to do a park I'd pick Epcot WS, trying to see all the entertainment performances often missed while riding rides. Maybe grab a TT fastpass and then check out some things in the countries. If you are talking about Sunday June 5th, I still think its better to do MK during the week as you'll have locals and some that shifted MK to Sunday because they wanted to avoid Gay days on Sat. But it would probably be better than the Sunday of Mem Day weekend.

Sunday mornings are usually great for the MK as many folks are at church services. Afternoons can get crowded, depending on the time of year.

Rileyroosmom, we'll be there the same exact time as you, and we're going to the MK on that first Sunday. From what I've read, it's a pretty good day to go, and even with the holiday, shouldn't be unbearable. I've talked to friends who were there for the same week last year, and they were suprised it wasn't more crowded. I hope that holds true this year too!

Other than that, I've gone over and pver our week, and we're doing MGM on Monday, resting on Tues, Epcot on Wed, MK on Thursday, and AK/EP on Friday. We're trying to avoid Star Wars and Gay Days, and that's the schedule that worked best for us. Of course, if it's too crowded anywhere, we will parkhop.
