My DH has vowed never to go to MK on a Saturday. So I placed on Friday. He thinks it’s just as bad.

Going either 7/17 or 7/18 till 7/22 or 7/23.
If we arrive on 7/17, MK on Thursday is an option. But we arrive on 7/18, then it’s MK on Friday. How crowded is it? Is it just as bad as Saturday?

I have no problem with MK on Fridays. I will never go to MK on a Monday - scared for life over my one Monday experience from 2009 -- that's how bad it was. I'd pick MK on Sunday over Saturday.

Well, I just read a comprehensive review of the wait times so far this year at WDW. At Magic Kingdom, the weekends have the shortest average wait times. Sunday is the shortest, followed by Saturday. Tuesday and Wednesday have the longest average wait times.

Really? Tuesday & Wednesday are worse than Mondays? I believe you, I just can't take the Monday risk again.

Something to keep in mind is that wait times do not equal crowd size. The wait times could be less on the weekends because of staffing. I don't know what the OP is worried about -- wait times or just the overall maneuverability. My DH is a veteran --- maneuverability is more important that wait times, but I don't think there is a metric for that.

Saw that review and it really surprised me. We went to MK to watch fireworks on a Saturday and the park was packed. Maybe a lot of people showed up late (like us) for fireworks.

I’ve just checked Touring Plans (whom I’ve used to choose our park days for well over 10 years) and Fridays at MK in July are a good option in my opinion based on what I’m seeing there.

I don't mind going to MK on a Saturday. It's a travel day for many.

Just keep in mind 7/17 (Wednesday) country bears reopens so there might be a push also 7/21 (Sunday) is a passholder non reservation day

According to the wait time data for the past 45 days, Friday and Saturday are a tie.
