MK FP Dilemma

Adults only trip for DH and I, he doesn’t ride Space or Thunder. 2.5 MK days, FP for 2 of them. These are both party days, the .5 is the one evening that week it’s open past 6 so I don’t expect to do much besides see HEA. We currently have 7DMT for both days, however the first MK day is our first full day and we could only get 7DMT at 230, ruining my plan to use the rolling FP earlier for the less popular attractions.

Would you drop 7DMT (and ride later in the week) and what would you book instead? We have Splash on both days, Peter Pan on the later one and HM on the first day (because we’ll be in the area). If I miss out on Space I don’t mind, I would like to ride Thunder at some point and may switch to that even though DH can’t ride. I could also switch the HM one to Thunder.

But it feels like a sin to let go of a 7DMT FP even though I can take or leave that ride and we’re already riding it later. The planner in me lol.

Space and Thunder are both good rides to rope drop so that is what I would do so you don't have to spend a FP on something your DH does not want, and he won't have to wait that long for you. I would also still drop the late 7DMT. If you are not that into it and it is not until later in the day, what is the point of having it--it just makes it harder for you to get 4th etc. FPs that day for rides you actually do enjoy. You could get a FP for jungle cruise instead (always a long line, and out in the heat), or pirates, which I could just ride over and over, or anything else that tickles your fancy.

IMO, it's totally subjective, and dependent on what other rides you want during the day. If you tapped in right at 2:30, you will still be able to utilize same day FP's, of course the times will be more limited, but just remember to start looking and refreshing as soon as you tap into the first tapstile.

This is what I was thinking too, the only hitch being rope drop is at 7 AM and twice on our last trip when we tried to rope drop BTMRR it was down for a good hour or so, so now I’m worried we end up wasting time.

My worry with the 230 FP is the park closes to us at 6 PM, not leaving a lot of time for that.

I wouldn't start a day with a 2:30 FP (well, unless I wasn't getting to the park until noon or 1:00). Keep looking to modify it to an earlier time, especially as you get closer, or change it to something else.
