MK Firework Dessert Party

Mine is 8:10pm... I did reiterate that I definitely wanted the DESSERT PARTY and not the normal buffet (though I don't think it's running during our dates anyway) and she confirmed I was booked in for this and total would be $46.84 plus tip. I wonder if they're slightly staggering the ADR times each night?
We're eating at Beaches and Cream for lunch the same day and just having counter service in MK for dinner, think we'll nix the dessert though

I was told 15 mins before the start of the party, which is an hour before wishes. So if wishes is at 9, party starts at 8 and I should be there at 7:45pm. Nobody is allowed in before 8pm anyway.

I was told to arrive 15 mins before my ADR time of 8:30pm to check in at the podium.... Did the CM not give you a set time and ADR confirmation number?

IF not, I'd call back and ask what time your ADR is for

no specific time was given, other than "one hour before the fireworks begin" so I guess that means another call to WDW Dining!

I was given an exact time. 8:10pm.

We have dinner adr's at CM's, so I've got to find a creative way to keep family from eating dessert there..this is a surprise for them.

I called back yet again. This time the CM said we were booked for 8:05 p.m. And then she said to arrive 15 minutes before the ADR time. So, I specifically asked if we should be there at 8:05 or or 7:50. She laughed and said 7:50. So, there we have it. I think I know what time we are to be there.

Just booked for Sept 5th for a party of 11, couldn't believe I got it after reading so many people weren't getting a res.

The CM said that there was a standing area, does everyone rush to that and stand? What is the difference between that and standing on Main Street?

$23 a person and a 3 hour wait...

UPDATE 8/27/09: The Fireworks Dessert Party has been extended through October 31, 2009. The price is now $23.42 for guests 10+ and $12.99 for guests 3 to 9.

Those prices INCLUDE tax, but not gratuity

We are going Sept 16th. 7 of us, we wanted to try this and were so disappointed when it wasnt going to be around then they changed the dates and I had to jump on it right away. It better be good

I'm up for anytime between 11/13-12/6. I don't know if I'll be there after that. A Holiday one would be great! They have wonderful hot chocolate at MVMCP. Wouldn't mind some of that!

I'm having real trouble trying to book the Wishes Dessert party.

First call - after lots of messaging I was told my call would be
answered in 6 minutes. After about 6 minutes I was cut off!

Second call - lots of messaging again, told 5 minute wai. After 5 minutes I was put through to a survey! I rated my call as poor poor poor in the hope it would put me through to someone but no, it just told me to have a magical day

Third call - I called a different line and when through to Guest Feedback. I told the CM about the two calls and asked if he could put me through to book an ADR. He said he could book for me. After 20 minutes he was still telling me there was no availability - I've read on the dessert party thread that a lot of the CMs do not know how to book the dessert party. He even told me I could try booking online, which is wrong. I told him to uncheck the DDP box and he said he did but could only find availability on a mnsshp night (I had to point this out to him about that date). I am going to mnsshp on another night but want to do the Wishes dessert party on a different night.

So, after having spent about 35 minutes on the phone in total I'd like to know how much money I have already wasted before I try again!

Based on what everyone's saying, I'm wondering if it's really unavailable or not? Maybe I got a bad CM?

What do you think? I'm worried I've already spent the price of the dessert party calling them from the UK

What shall I do? Do you think if I email Disney and tell them what happened they would call me back to book? Anyone have an email address for this?

Thanks - I really want to go to the dessert party! I've been waiting weeks for it to be extended

stitch- I just had the same issue with the CM i got,a female, she could only find an opening on the MNSSHP night, which you still need the ticket for to get into, bummer!!!

If anyone is cancling for Sept 26th or 27th please PM and let me know before so I can try and get it! DH would love this surprise for his Birthday!

Yes it should be However, I use telediscount to call the US cheaply from the UK:

Thanks for the info about it being a landline. On hold now to try a third CM.. fingers crossed!

Just finished the call. CM sounded very on the ball but could only find availablility for two of the MNSSHP nights during my stay 05/09-19/09 and neither of those were the one I have a ticket for!

If anyone is told or more availalability on these dates please let me know. We want desserts!

I just called and my CM (who sounded very knowledgable) could not find anything on either date. Even she sounded surprised that they were all booked up. I think there might be a learning curve here, because I just can't imagine these parties selling out that quickly! I'll keep calling back.

Was looking for either 9/29 or 10/3. I've read that other people couldn't get 10/3. Any success for anyone on 9/29??

We just called like a half hour ago and they said they were all booked for the week of the 5th. The only night they had was Friday but we are doing the Halloween party that night so we think it would be too much to do both.

Thanks so much! We are excited. Kids dont know they are even going.. let alone for 11 days @ POP.. attending MNSSHP, free food, and a class from the Y.E.S Program...
They think they are going to SC to see new friends..and going to a park or a halloween party of somesort..LOL
I have held it in now since Feb...lol . 8 days to go!!! WOOHOO!!!!
