the night I'm going 10/27 is a MNSSHP night.

I managed to get Sept 29th for MNSSHP, my ADR is for 8:30pm

Sometimes I wonder about info some CM's give us?

Called last night around 9:30 and was told September 16 and 17th sold out. Waited about 15 minutes and called back again hoping it was a CM error. But still nothing available.

online ADRs is showing avail for 2 for Sun Sep 20 at 8:30...

. I tried for range of dates from 17 to 21 (but we definitely can't go on a Sunday...) for times from 8:00, 8:15, 8:30 and 8:45......this is the only choice that came up.

(Didn't think you'd be able to book this on line, but I went most of the way thru the process--up to the point you need to put in your personal info.)

I don't think the dessert party is held on Sundays. So, you must be seeing the dinner buffet.

I called again this morning. I got a CM who insisted she knew how to book this thing and she apparently did. October 3 is still completely sold out but I was able to get October 5.

It is on Sundays as we were able to reserve Oct. 11 yesterday for 4 people. Now, the CM had to look a bit and at first had entered the Wishes start time, and had to back it up to get the party.

Lack of availability is likely related to party size. Disney's ADR system is quirky like that. Might have room for a party of four but not a party of two. Or, no openings for a party of five but split it out into one party of two and one party of three...voila.

I really think some CMs know to check if the dining box is ticked or not (if it's ticked any date will show no availability) and some don't. JLKennedy posted this info earlier in the thread but it's grown since then so I think the post got lost. The info meant that I got a ressie (was previously told no availability) so I want to spread the word

Keep in mind that the DDP box being checked will only be an issue if the CM is showing no availability at all during your stay. If the CM is telling you that some nights have availability and others don't, then the box is not the issue.

If you are a party of more than four, try splitting your reservation in half. With limited availability, some dates are indeed probably sold out.

Keep in mind that the DIS is not the only place where the news of the extension has been posted. allears.net readership is significantly larger than DISboards and Deb has had the story posted on the front page of the site since the very same time the story broke over here. I'm sure it's all over the Internet by now.

I think it may be that there are tables for 4 available but not for 2? That is the only explanation I can think of.

I don't doubt any of this, just thought repeating the info I read might help people if they're being told no availability for their entire stay. I'm sure some dates are booked up completely by now but 2 out of the 3 CMs I spoke to didn't know about the dining box being ticked so even if it's not the issue in every case it at least lets them know for the future

Last evening, I booked a party of 7 for Friday, 10/16 with an 8:05 arrival time! I think the Wishes Dessert Party will be a wonderful finale to our first DVC trip.

I was able to schedule the dessert party, but it is during MNSSHP. I was told by the CM that the Wishes display is different during MNSSHP than what is normally shown on regular nights. Anyone know if this is true and what the differences are? Thanks so much!!

It's a different soundtrack and stuff. It's a lot of the villians and their songs, it's really good.
