MK Firework Dessert Party

Just had my most annoying call with a CM yet...

I inquired about the Wishes dessert party and if it had been extended. She said she checked her updates and confirmed that yes - it had been extended. I jumped for joy!! Of course, it was too good to be true. Because her very next question was "Which showing do you want to book, 9pm or 10pm"???? This completely confused me and i thought "Crap! How did I miss this one on the Dis boards. "
So i clarified that I was talking about the Wishes Fireworks dessert and that I was only aware of one fireworks show at MK a day. She said no that they have the fireworks twice a day and that she would check her update again. She returned saying "I have just confirmed that we have not extended the Wishes party"...

So what did I learn...nothing

This waiting is killing me!

I know people love fireworks, but if Disney started doing two FW shows at MK and still short changes Fantasmic, I'm going to be uber ticked off. I can understand during Christmas time, since it gets dark early.... other than that NO.

But of course I assume that cast member was just plain wrong on that...especially within an hour of each other.

she checked all 8 days of my stay and they're all showing up as fully booked. definately something wierd going on there! but at least it is definately on their system.

And see the one I just asked talked with her supervisor who told her no...

THIS IS RIDICULOUS... I mean Disney can't even communicate with the front line cast members properly anymore.

Honestly, WDW needs a house cleaning of most of upper management Up to and including Jay Resulo who couldn't manage a girl scout troup selling cookies properly. Throw in the bozo from Cruiselines and ABD as well.

Must just be September. Probably haven't opened it yet... But others are saying differently. Guess we wait for the official announcement.

I can tell you right now that those dates in Sept. CANNOT be booked already. I didn't even know about the Wishes Dessert Party until I read about it here on the DIS a few months ago. I can assure you that most of the general public who do not read these boards, probably have no clue that this party is happening. Most people don't do any research before heading out for vacation. You can see all this by reading the Disney Mom's Panel. If they had just done some research they didn't have to ask such silly questions. Anyway, I have a feeling the dates are in the computer, but haven't "opened" up yet.

My DH just called for the end of Sept and he was told that there has not been any dates released past Aug 28th...He was also told to keep checking back cause they have heard that they are going to extend just dont know dates yet...

I called at 11 this morning and was told to keep checking for Sept. I called at 1 and was told it was completely sold out from 9/4-9/13.

Utter madness Which other company could get away with misleading its customers so much and yet still have people so willing to give them their hard earned money (I am one of them )

Ok, I just got off the phone with dinning...He said there are no dates released past Aug 28th...He said that anyone calling will be told the dates are completely booked until the dates are released...He said to keep checking back every day until the dates are released....He checked several systems to see if our dates for Setp would come up...So Disneydonnam I hope this will make you feel a little better about not getting in...He said also next Friday is the last day and he feels they will release the dates soon...So everyone just keep checking back everyday...I'm crossing my fingers to....

I tried this morning (Monday at 6am PST) I realize they had already had the phones open for 2 hrs, I asked the cm for november 6th and he said it was already booked so I mentioned if he could tell if it was booked or the dates just not extended yet and he said no that it was booked and that there normally isn't cancelations for that one. I am watching this board like a hawk now waiting to see if anyone was able to book this on the extended dates yet. Really wanted my 2 1/2 yr granddaughter to have a comfortable view of wishes.

My guess is that they are offering the buffet that night and that is what may already be booked. No way it's full yet for that evening if they have in fact even opened bookings for it yet.

i'm guessing that for the next few months it wont be offered on a sunday as they're doing some form of dinner buffet on a sunday arent they?

My DH said they tried to book him for the dinner for Sunday 9-27 at 8:50 and he was like no we want the dessert party...So thats why I called back...We have called 4 times today already...I will call 3-4 times a day everyday until the dates are released...

I so hope all of you are right and that they extend the dates. We will be there for my youngest sons 8th birthday and are doing CP breakfast and dinner @ Chef Mickeys. I would love to plan something super special for my 10 year old as a special night for him, even though his birthday isn't until April. Will keep an eye on this site. Dining told me the same thing today. The party ends on the 28th and no additional dates have been released. That was about 3:15pm CST today.

I don't believe that the dessert party will be extended, as I believed this restaraunt was now taking regular dining reservations for a regular buffet, through to mid-december to accomodate free dining request/demand

This location is only designated for that on certain dates.

I just called the DVC dining reservations line and the CM couldn't see any dates for September, she agreed that I should keep trying and seemed to know what she was talking about
