Really want to do this if it gets extended. The only night we could is our MK day but we have dinner scheduled at kona for 5:40. Do you think we'd make it back by 8? And that we wouldn't be too full to enjoy it?

Someone posted on the Theme Parks Board that the rumor is they're gonna extend it to January. I don't know the source thought...

I soooo hope I can book it for our upcoming trip in September, it is such a great idea to pair Wishes Fireworks with delicious desserts

There is no Wishes on a MNSSHP night, so you wouldn't be able to.

well I have booked and paid for 29th aug and I have double checked 3 times that its the dessert party so its def extended to 29th aug

Even if they did offer it on MNSSHP nights I wouldn't book it, you're already paying $50+ for the party, I wouldn't want to spend it eating.

I just called again and was told something different then this morning. Tonights CM didn't think it was going to be extended. When I called this morning I was told to keep checking.

I called again this morning at 7 am. The CM told me the 28th is the last day. I told her I heard they might be extending it. She put me on hold to ask a supervisor. As of now she said it is not being extended.

Well to not extend something so popular must mean they weren't making enough money out of it. Shame if true.

I called this afternoon and no luck still for September. It is a shame if they won't extend it. I consider myself pretty "in the know" for WDW goings on and I didn't know about this until a few weeks ago.

If they aren't making enough cash for this event, they only have themselves to blame. They need to work on putting the word out to the "common folk" (i.e. people who don't use the DIS or other WDW forums). It was doomed to fail if they didn't want to put any press/marketing behind it because it was just a trial run.

I'm crossing my fingers though. We still have 6 days of hope.

The CMs I talked to said Disney would be STUPID not to extend it after it has been selling out left and right. I think they are waiting until these dates are over to announce new ones.

From my understanding, every night through the end of August sold out in a matter of days of "announcing" the buffet, so I wouldn't think that profitability or popularity is an issue. But who knows?

I will say that we had a fabulous time at the buffet and I REALLY hope they extend it for you and everyone else!!!! Sending positive vibes your way!
