Ok, I found my flyer and it is the same as the one posted above, however mine states the (407) WDW-DINE number. So, I called and mentioned to Serena (CM) that I had just returned home and we attended the party and while we were there I had been told that the party was being extended and yada yada yada. So, Serena put me on hold for about 3 minutes and then came back on to tell me that I could go on and pencil it in on my schedule for my Dec. trip, and that as of now "No official announcement has been made at this time, but to go on and put it on the plan." And that by the time I call next week for my ADRs at 90 Days, it will be open to book for Dec. Hope that helps.

This is killing me. Was this online to book or did you have to call for this "trial" run that is supposed to end at the end of the month?

I called them to ask the question and stated that I had just returned from our trip where I attended the party, and had spoken to a CM and Food Manager while we were at the party, and that I had received the flyer with the phone number to call to make our reservation while we were there, and could she confirm if they were taking ressies yet. She stated that there was NO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT made yet, but it was on the horizon.

My post was meant to let others know that I'm anxiously waiting by my computer for an official announcement of extending the Wishes Dessert.

well i just checked for the 4th time and we are booked and paid for the 29th aug for the dessert party

I just called about my son's peanut allergy and not only was it confirmed again for the 29th, but I was given the name of a Cast Member on duty that night who I should talk to if there is any issue with ingredients. I think we are officially safe for the 29th.

I have called several times....and emailed concierge. I have gotten no confirmation about any extension. ANNOYING!!! Really wanted to see it in Nov.

Because Hallowishes happens during the party, and you need tickets for that. So people who book the dessert party will also need to book MNSSHP. And they won't. They'll say they should be able to stay because of the buffet, even though it's a ticketed event night.



As for releasing it, when they first announced it, it was announced, then bookings opened up three or four days before the first night. Maybe the same thing will happen - meaning Monday or Tuesday of this week. Good luck everyone!

From what I have seen these parties hold 200 guests. The MNSSHP has 20,000-30,000 tickets sold supposedly per night. You don't think 1% of guests would be interested?

My guess is the delays are due to 1) seeing about a prime location that holds more people and allows them to charge more (which people will pay to not have to wait for the fireworks and if you can get a premium spectro spot even more value to cost) 2) Figuring out how to work this with MNSSHP and MVMCP parties... offering or not offering, etc. 3) Figuring out what they can charge to make more money without hurting the popularity.

I would say the Prime location change might be a biggie... after all, I believe in the past that terrace was put to use during the parties and there is also the Sunday dinner there for the next couple of months.

I think the problem would come into play, not with those buying tickets, but those not buying tickets. There are already problems when they clear the parks with people feeling like they should allowed to stay and shop or whatever, even though they haven't purchased a separate party ticket. Imagine someone making reservations for the dessert party but NOT buying the big party ticket. They would have to make it so that you couldn't make that reservation unless you had already bought and paid for the MNSSHP or MVMCP tickets. Then it could be an add on until they were sold out for the dessert party.

Oh I hope they do extend it! We're going in Dec also and this would be SO much fun! I just love desserts!

what number did you call? i emailed re: peanut/tree nut allergy for this event and was sent a form to fill out and fax back... we're going on the 26th and i would feel better calling too!

We called the regular dining line and were directed to www.disneyworld.com/specialdiets . We got the number there and had to call and leave a number. They called us back. The woman's name, ironcially was Gigi. She did mention they have prepackaged cookies and such in the back that are safe from cross contamination and I feel very safe that many of the items will be fine.

I'll be there from 9/24 to 10/3 and decided to call for myself and ask if it was going to be extended yesterday.

The very helpful CM at WDWDINE spent way more time than she had to trying to get insight on any extension and finally came back and said that currently there was no word that they WERE going to extend it and she couldn't take ressies for it beyond the stated dates, but nothing would surprise her and I could try back if I wanted to.

I know that really doesn't give more info than is already posted here. Sorry.

Just called. She said there is no extension at this time, but that several reservations have been made for the 29th. I told her I wouldn't be there until November and that we'd keep checking back. She asked what boards I was talking about that were waiting for an extension and I gave her the web address for disboards.

Maybe tomorrow.

I called today also and the CM said they were getting tons of calls and that she wished she had some good news for me, but they hadn't heard anything. I said that I had just heard about it and wondered if she thought there was any chance ...she laughed and said she wish she knew because she wanted to do it too! She said they don't know anything until the order comes down and that as soon as they know, everyone will know...

She was too cute...
