MK Fast Pass strategy with a toddler?

We have to make our FP reservations tonight and I'm feeling overwhelmed. We'll have our 2.5 year old son with us. We're not interested in any of the princess meet and greets, and we'll likely take a break in the hotel from 1:00-4:00.

The idea of choosing a ride 60 days out feels a little overwhelming right now. If anyone has any tips, strategies, or itineraries to share I would greatly appreciate it.

Many details, logistics, and FP+ priorities found HERE.

I would book Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear & Pirates of the Caribbean or Pooh. Other rides Dumbo, small world, Barnstormer etc you can catch without a fast pass. If he is tall enough for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train drop Buzz and just do it first thing when you get to the park.

I usually pick Pooh, Buzz, and either HM or POTC for my toddler, 23mo. He really likes those. In October we got quite a bit done before 11am without FPs by rope dropping. My DS is an early riser, so it worked well for us.

Depends on how many days you are going to be at MK...if you can split MK into a couple of mornings you will get a lot done. FP+ is great b/c my 2 year old is awful in lines.

Here is how we have done in a few times. For our first trip in October (we only spent halk day mornings at the park)...
Sat: FP+ for Peter pan, rode Small World, FP for Pooh and FP for Speedway
Sunday: FP for Mickey M&G (serious must do if your kid loves Mickey, reminded us why we were there!), FP HM, FP Buzz (and we did something else w/o a FP)

We were in the park around 930 both days and left by 12-1230. If you can get there earlier you can get more done.

Tip for getting the most out of your FP: if only one of you cares to ride a ride with your child you can split it up. Get a FP for 1 for Dumbo and for the other person get a FP for speedway for example (those are also good rides where the non riding person can get pictures)

If you go to Adventureland first I'd FP Peter Pan, Pooh and Buzz, if you go to Tomorrowland first I'd FP Peter Pan, Pooh and Jungle Cruise.

Just to give you an idea of a morning with a toddler we went last month and on our first MK day we go there at opening, headed to Buzz, the Speedway, Tea Cups, Dumbo, Great Goofini, the Little Mermaid attraction, FP+ for SDMT, sat for a snack and took a restroom break, FP+ for Pooh, Peter Pan, IASW and then headed to our Crystal Palace adr at 12:30pm. After his lunch and naptime (we went on Splash and BTRR while he slept using our 3rd FP+), we got a 4th FP for POTC, went on the Magic Carpets and Jungle Cruise then hopped to Epcot.

Read Robo's link.

If your FP are scheduled back to back, make sure you are booking ones in same land if at all possible. Its hard to tote the little ones around from one side of the park to the other (my mistake I made with mine earlier in the year).

You know your toddler better than anyone else when it comes to which rides you think they will like. My two boys liked almost completely different rides at the same ages. If you have never been and dont mind spoiling the thrill of riding ride first time you can YouTube almost any ride to see if its something you think they may like.

Don't forget to take advantage of Parent Swap when there too!
