OK, let me preface this by saying we have been to all the parks many many times, but we have never park hopped and never done EE, so I have absoultly no experience. I have come to the conclusion that the only thing to do is to seek the wise and all knowing counsel of the disboards.

Due to a scheduling conflict on our upcoming stay of 6 days we will not be going for our full day at MK until day 5.Call me quirky, but I just cannot stand to be at WDW for 4 whole days without steeping foot in MK. The only day that I can possibly work with is Sun., which is our AK/MGM day, but as you also know is EE day at MK.

What I want to know is this....
Is it possible(and enjoyable at the same time) to hit MK for EE, leave and go to AK just for a few favorites, and then finish with late lunch/ early dinner at Sci-FI,and whatever attractions we can fit in before getting a seat for Fantasmic!

In Sept, we did 3 parks. DS, DH and I started at AK for Donald's breakfast. DH didn't feel good and went back to the room after we ate, so DS and I hit Dinoland and rode the Whirl ride and Dinosaur. Then we checked out the animals along the way out of the park. We then went to the MK and rode Buzz, SpMt, Indy cars, tea cups and got DS a hair cut. It was about 1 or 1:30 by the time we left, but we were 7th in line for the hair cut. (believe me, DS NEEDED it or we would have waited until when we got home) Then we met up with DH at Epcot and ate at the buffet (now gone) in Norway. Then we went and did Spaceship Earth,Wonders of Life and Ellen's and we raced the parade (so we wouldn't get caught up in it since we'd seen it many times) to check out a couple of countries before Illuminations. Then we walked over to the Dolphin, got a pizza and grabbed a cab back to VWL to eat. It was a full day, but it was worth it.

There has been only one time that I have done all 4 parks in one day. I was lucky to be a solo traveler and was on a mission. DH's assistant lost his Mickey key holder and I wanted to replace it. I started at AK, then MGM and was on my way to Epcot but had a craving for popcorn in a bucket. (don't ask! ) So, as I was walking past the monorail, I hopped on and headed to the MK. I checked all of the mainstreet shops, but no one had the key holder. I headed for Epcot for the parade. The day was for enjoying the parks first and finding the holder second. (never did find it, though. It was discontinued, but they still make the pen that matches it) That day wasn't bad, but I was by myself.

We've been many times and now we hit the things we like best, mixed in with some newer attractions.

I don't see why it can't be done. While I was there in Aug 2002 there was an article in the Orlando Sentinel about a couple of guys who did 7 parks in one day. Try that.

We almost always do 3 parks in a day, without EE. We do
one park in the morning. Leave for lunch back at our hotel.
Go to a second park and leave for our hotel for dinner. After dinner we go to Epcot to finish out the night.

yep...you should be able to see "parts" of three parks in a single day assuming that you are willing to get up early and arriving at park opening and then staying until park close...but you will not be able to see and do everything that all three parks has to offer....
have fun!!!

Thanks for the encouragment! I think we'll try it.
The 3 parks in one day ,not 7;) I think if I tried 7 I would see another part of Disney I hadn't planned, Celebration Hospital!!
I'm really looking forward to trying EE for the first time.I'm hoping we can do at least a good bit of Fantasy Land before hopping over to Ak maybe by 10:30am, and then to MGM by 3:00pm.

Hmmmmmm, that hopping to MK for a popcorn bucket gave me an idea! A foods of the "World" park hopping extravaganza!!!
We'll just eat our way around from park to park.:p

Thanks again everybody for your help, I think I'm going to the restaurants board now.
:D
