Hi! Can you sign up for wine tastings once on board? When and Where do you go ? Do you wait until they are posted in the daily navigator or is there a schedule for the week somewhere? Thanks!

Yes, you can. Look at the first day navigator when you board, there'll be a signup location on the first day. I wouldn't wait until later in the cruise, as they can (and do) fill up.

Go to Port Adventures or Guest Services when boarding. I wouldn't wait until getting a Navigator with it listed.

A location to sign up for tastings will be in the Navigator on the first day. It will be one of the lounges, on Wonder and Magic often the one on the way to Animator's Palate, usually one of the nightclubs on Fantasy/Dream. I would advise against guest services unless you are going there for another reason as they tend to be packed with people trying to sign up for Frozen gathering, etc. I've never had to wait more than 1-2 places in line at the designated spot, and often you can walk right up.

The sign up location on our recent Fantasy cruise was in La Piazza. Thankfully, we were fortunate enough to have booked a few seminars/tastings online prior to boarding. There were very few options available when we checked onboard (around 2:00 on embarkation day). On our first cruise last year on the Dream we signed up for additional tastings through guest services. It was much easier to do at the actual tasting sign-up location as they had the full list of options available for the week. I'm going to attempt to link a pic of the list they had at La Piazza during that sign-up period.

Definitely go to the sign-up location listed in the Navigator that you will receive during the check-in process before boarding. Whenever I’ve asked about beverage tastings at Guest Services, they asked me to tell them which tasting/day I wanted, then looked up availability on the computer screen. If you were doing an open-ended search to see which tastings you might want to add, seeing the entire list is really much more useful.

One more thing. Unless you have a particular tasting or time that you just HAVE TO HAVE, I recommend not going to guest services or the other sign up location right away.

That first afternoon (and the final evening) are the busiest times at guest services. If you just wait until later in the day, or the second day, there will still be plenty of choices and no lines. My wife stopped by the bar that had the signup book on the morning after embarkation, and they basically handed her the whole list and let her browse and text us, etc. as much as she wanted. No lines. No rush. When she was ready, they took down all of her requests.

In my experience chocolate & liquor, champagne and mixology tend to go fast, so I'd go to the sign-up location early on for those. Others have had availability later on with no problem (I've done whiskey and tequila that still had availability at time of class).

You can book online or onboard. Though for my 4/21 sailing the first-timers were saying there were very few tastings available at 75 days.

All those 10:30s are a bummer. Our kid won't be able to stay at the club that late. But the ones we'd be interested in seem to only be at that time.

LOL. I remember being bummed how many of the tasting were during the day, when I wanted to be with my family, and I was glad there were a few at 10 or 10:30, so I could enjoy them. Just a different perspective, I guess. I think on board you will find plenty of slots added for tasting during the day.

There are some tastings available to sign up for when your online registration opens under "Onboard Fun". Otherwise I would definitely sign up when you get onboard.
