We want to recreate one of the drinks that we made in a mixology class on the Fantasy a couple weeks back, and I can't even remember the name of the drink let alone the measures of ingredients. Anyone know how to make the berry/vodka one? I think it's a Brazilian drink. I recall mashing blueberries, strawberries and raspberries in the bottom of the glass and then, I think, adding regular vodka and pear vodka with ice but that's all I know. I'm hoping someone took better notes than I did!

I don't know if this is the one you are talking about or not? I saw this on one of our meet threads. It may give you an idea of how to make it though. Sorry I can't be more help.

"The next one was a Triple Berry Mojito. Novak wanted to teach us about muddling the fruit, and what that does. In our glasses were sprigs of mint, lime wedges, and raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. We muddled it all together and then filled the glass with Barardi O rum, which is rum with orange flavor."

I might have the recipe at home. I keep thinking Novak called it a capiruska as it had vodka instead of rum. I'll check my stuff and let you know.

That is the one we are looking for!

Thank you guys for the responses--yes this is the one we were looking for. The simple syrup & mint is what I forgot. Found this recipe on Wikipedia for Caipiroska (no wonder I couldn't remember it!): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caipiroska

I'm pretty sure the one Damon had us make had two types of Vodka, the muddled fruit and mint, and the simple syrup.

Hi CaliforniaGirl09, I think we were in the same mixology! This was one of my favorites of the drinks, but I couldn't remember the ingredients in any of them :). Glad to hear you are using what Damon taught us!! He was very good!

Waving!! Wasn't it a great class? We had a blast. He was great. I can't take credit for this, it was Calfan's idea--but I jumped right on the wagon so to speak :)

It might have been the BIG SMILE. A bunch of fruits mashed at the bottom and some sort of alcohol poured over it.

On the Fantasy last week Damian did the mixology. For this drink, we used:
blackberries, lime wedge (muddled), added agave nectar and vodka. Very Tasty!:thumbsup2

Agave nectar! Yep, that sounds like the additional ingredient. Thanks, everyone for the brainstorming help.

Thanks so much, Henlady--PERFECT! That's exactly the ingredient we were missing (agave as substitute for simple sugar).
