Morning, Nutters...

Ever go through one of those phases where you just want to get rid of pretty much everything and start all over? I've been going through stuff the past two nights and I have a knee-high pile of trash in my sitting room that I need to bag up and toss. Next on my agenda is to go through my packed-away things (like my dishes) and send them off to the auction house. I'm doing it because in the back of my mind, I'm preparing to someday move away and I don't want to have to deal with it then.

Morning, Nutters...

I am begining to go through my stuff, too. I've almost finished the basement stuff.
The thought of the stuff in the attic
I think I'll look into some Ebaying, a bit of auction & yard sale.

Someday my DH may want to have me move away!

I tried eBay some years ago...it was extremely unpleasant then; I can only imagine what it's like now. That's why I'm glad we have an auction house here, but they don't want things like my Barbie dolls (the collectible type) because collectibles don't sell. I don't know what I'll do there.

I'm fine with going through my stuff, but my mother seems to have no interest in getting rid of anything else. I want to take our wedding gowns to Goodwill - nope, she just wants to throw hers out. I don't look forward to helping her clear out when she decides to sell the house.

As for the turtle - I'm all for irony; I think we should go with "Zippy." Or "Speed Bump."

I have more junk then I know what to do with, most of it being Disney collectibles. I have sold a few things on E-bay, but it just seems so time consuming. So I think I will just keep it all and let my kids worry about it after I’m gone.

Of course that will not be for another 40-50 years

May I suggest an event: "Bonfire of the Insanities"?
You could place an announcement and invite other disenchanted former brides to set flame to their dresses?
Okay, I'm thinking of other activites to round out this party!

DH had a nasty day yesterday, too.
He's trying to get work things tidied up so he can take off, and one of his important test wafers got destroyed TG it wasn't his doing, but it has really thrown a wrench into the planned vaca
