Mixed Marriage 2: The Conversion Continues..... now complete

Argh! I hope another episode is up soon!

Loving your writing style. :)

… how much value we were receiving for our 94$ plus tax. Yes the room was basic but we would have paid about $65 per night for the same room outside the World and we would expect our mythical same room elsewhere to have a pool but not two themed pools complete with water jets and play areas. We would not have expected a food court or cool decorations or huge themed courtyards. Inside the room, it was clean and adequately appointed but there were special touches that showed that Disney really wanted us to have a vacation that worked well… like adjustable lighting levels, a vanity area outside the bathroom, a retractable line for drying our swimsuits, and built in soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. Of course we were really paying to be able to use the Disney transportation and those all important Extra Magic Hours. We were impressed. We congratulated ourselves on being bright enough to stay at the All Stars. In fact, throughout the trip we kept saying how pleased we were with our accommodations and what a great value the “value” resort had turned out to be.

DH sprawled out on one bed and even remarked “You know the drive down here really wasn’t bad at all.”
“Yes, dear”
“And are room is really nice considering we are at Disney World”
“Yes, dear”
“You know we really could do this every two or three years.”
“Yes, dear, we really could.” ::yes::

We have been on property for less than 2 hours, in our room less than one, we haven’t even seen a park and already the Magic is sinking in…

OK, I quietly lurked and read yourreports, but now I'm starting to be green eyed! :guilty: I feel left out with no comments made to me! LOL... as if you should! I have 21 year old twins :woohoo: and know all too well the delightful experience of illnesses! But I digress, just wanted to say hi! Love your reports and wanted to be part of the "In Group!",,,

back to lurkdom and my 7 year old DD!

hello dear readers! thank you so much again for your cheers....
IRL today my baby developed pink eye.... how I don't know as technically the twins are no longer contagious... could it be that bacteria don't read the package inserts on antibiotics?????
so I have been traumatized this morning by the delightful experience of giving eye drops to a one year old :crazy2:
(aside to flipflop and other mothers of multiples re the reinfection thing... I did ask my dr what I could do/could have done to prevent this and was told "you have multiples that are too little to understand about preventing the spread of germs, expect all three to get everything everytime until they are older".... however I will continue with my unofficial war on germs)

so that said: welcome to all the new folks :wave2: especially OneMoreStitch! I wish I had time to say something personal to everyone but there is disinfecting to be done (again) :(

princesslibby: I should have known you are a saver because you were keeping track of my budget. You don't have to spend your twinkie points, you can put them into a Twinkie Growth Fund.
I am :rotfl: about the bathing suit issue- you have hit the nail on the head. At least they are not expensive either- I mean I spend 4 hours and I am willing to spend $80 and I still can't find anything that fits while he wanders into Wally World and 5 min and $7 later he is good to go.... btw the purple ones are from Washington, DC and the tan ones are from Savannah- we too can track our travel by the swim suit collection

DisneyDoll- thanks for your comments! I'll be looking for your trip report because I love weddings and Disney World so I am I sure that the combo is even better

UtahMama- you rock! you are too funny in every post... and right about the chicken thing... wouldn't trade it for the world though :grouphug:

Mortimer- thanks for the compliments! It is always nice to hear it even if you know it's true. :wizard:

Now I have to go work and if I am good I'll reward myself with time to write the next chapter of Twinkie2000!

robin09- you are so in! Wow 21 year old twins... does it keep getting easier? or does it get harder when they are teens? I see you willl be going to WDW on my anniversary- have a great time!

also hi to tiki23! Welcome :)

I love repeat posters because just occasionally I worry that I am taking too long and everyone is bored or has left so special thanks to Jacksmom, tubachick, Mr.BsMom, OhMari, and NAB

Writing this is so much fun for me- I run to the computer all the time to see what all y'all think-

ok and here is a smilie I have always wanted to use and there just never seems to be a reason so
:duck:

I am a repeat poster, and sometimes hate to post multiple times, cause it kind of seems over the top to me. but I want to assure you, I love, love, love your reports. Please keep them coming.

welll If you want to know what I think. I think this trip report is the best I have read. I run to the computer to see if you have posted a new segment. So I hope you have taken a gazillion trips to Disney so that I may have the pleasure of reading about them!

I'm another lurker who has been reading your reports, and thought it was time I told you how much I enjoy your writing. In fact, I'm on my way to work but had to check in here first to see if a new installment had been posted... and found not one but two!! pixiedust:

Keep up the good work! :cool1:

Brilliant as always, glad you loved All Stars, now lets get you to a park.....

I feel so loved! Thanks Twinkie! :goodvibes

My twins are b/g... and for the boy it was much easier as they grew up.. the girl though.. lets just say uh....no not easier.. MOre know it all.. more attitude...more distance, but wouldn't trade them at all... maybe exchange for a little while!

I'll be thinking of you for your anniversary, it'll be my first time at Pop Century, just can't wait :bounce:

I love reading your "reports" , really can't say TRIP, cos you haven't gotten into Disney yet! Keep[ them coming, just love to read them! NOw off to my day (I will be checking in though frequently through the day!) I'm hooked what can I say! :rotfl:

Which compared to some of the people on the boards is nothing- you have your matching t-shirt cliques, the whole spreadsheet groupies, the laminators- however for my little 4 night, 3 meal stay the whole folder thing was serious overkill. I could have just memorized my PS numbers…..

TwinkieMama you are too funny! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
It didn't even occur to me that when I purchased 5 days worth of matching t-shirts for me and the kids that we were a clique. :cool1: Too bad our trip is 10 days long :rotfl: Decisions, decisions....to do laundry....or to shop for more shirts? :confused3

Oh well, maybe I'll post that one somewhere. Thanks for another great installment! :thumbsup2

have to say, I'm really enjoying your reports. They've been a lot of fun, but oh so frustrating at the same time. I keep promising myself I'll wait and read it altogether when its all posted, but then I can't help myself...I keep coming back and reading as you post - they are that fun. Thank you for sharing!

(on a sidenote, I'm also a mom of twins, although mine are only 2. they are b/g and robin is scaring me. lol)

Nurse Mommy 4, don't worry, I am a part of the spreadsheet clique, which is viewed as more extreme than the t-shirt clique. You see you can blend in, whereas we speak in tabs and cells... :rotfl: Anywho! The cliffhangers are killin me and your DH :ssst: ... and you haven't even come close to loosing me, you've had me from the begining. However... we leave for the World in a couple of weeks... :hourglass :rolleyes1

Backstage-Gal- I see your point and in rereading my last post it sounds kind of needy.... maybe I am the worst kind of girl- the high maintenance kind who thinks she is low maintenance....

mtemm-if robin is scaring you think about how I feel- 2 teenage girls!!! I am sure it will be fine... just fine....

and finally, I am pretty sure that the Tag Fairy doesn't read the Trip Report board but if anyone has any sort of pull I think that Thinktinknpixiedust should be tagged with:

I am a part of the spreadsheet clique, which is viewed as more extreme than the t-shirt clique

:lmao:

Guilty as charged as you can see from the pic in my siggie (an upcoming T-shirt for our Oct trip). But unfortunately for my DH, I take it to the ultimate Dis Loving Obsessive Compulsive Disorder by also laminating, forming color coded spreadsheets and autograph books that are pre-designated for the characters we are seeking. Is there a 12 step program for this? Love the report so far :thumbsup2

OMG!! How cute is that shirt! :cool1: Did you design it?

It was actually designed by another Diser over on the DISigns boards. I can try to find the link to the thread if you are interested but along with the design I had to get some nifty software to be able to put in our pics. This of course led to an addiction equal to the DIS obsession I already suffer under (and now an equal addiction to Twinkiemoma's threads) as I have now designed T'shirts for every day of our upcoming trip. DH is oh so happy about that as you can imagine.

I see that Twinkiemoma is logged on now. Does this mean I can hope for a new installment before I finish my cocoa? :woohoo:

Twinkiemama- I'm waiting for more here! Your DS sounds too lovable for words  I feel like I am experiencing a trip of firsts right with him.
I love your writing style. I'm hoping it doesn't end with this trippie, I want to read about the twins and the babay- have they been to WDW too? Did you ever get to eat in the castle with Cindy?
More, please......
