The credit for the next piece of the adventure goes completely to DH. As we stood outside of the Tree of Life in the rain which had again tapered off to a light drizzle, DH said to DS Lets go ride the river ride and again and get Mommy all wet! I start to explain that the weather is icky, we will probably have a long line to wait in only to have the ride shut down when we get to the front since their may be a thunderstorm heading in when I look at my little boy- he isnt sobbing and in fact there is a slight gleam in his eye. If watching Mommy get soaked on the rapids is going to help him forget the attack of the evil bugs, then lets go. It isnt as if we are not standing out in the rain already?
We head over and it becomes apparent that there isnt hardly any line at all
in the middle of the day
in June. The CMs are wearing their rain gear and they smile has they help us onto the raft. DH and I ham it up- as he pretends (well maybe it wasnt pretend) to try to steer me into the splashes, gushes, and waterfalls- I pretend that it would be a fate worse than death to get wet (nevermind that it is actually raining). We have a great time and by the end of the ride my guys are giggling and conspiring another ride. The CMs overhear them talk about next time and ask us if we would like to ride again.

Of course we would like to ride again! If you have ever have the chance to just stay on a ride for another turn, DO IT! It is a simple thing but it makes you feel so special- so off we go down the river rapids again! We are having a great time and joking about who will be splashed next. The rain picks up and by the time it is over we couldnt be any wetter if we tried. There is absolutely no one in line and the CMs are taking bets whether or not their supervisor will tell them to shut down because of storm. We give smiles and thanks all around because no we are a very Happy Family. The rain is coming down but we just merrily squish squosh our way to the park entrance. We feel adventurous and daring as we agree to take the first bus that comes, no mater where it is heading and from that mystery destination we will head to Epcot with some time to kill before our PS (old school ADR) at Teppenyaki.
