We have usually used Mistymates but this year I want one of the larger fans where you can add ice. I looked at the O2cool ones on Amazon and there are a lot of really negative reviews. Does anyone have a favorite one they can recommend? The ones in the parks seem pretty good but of course more expensive. Thanks!

We couldn't stand dragging one around, either on a lanyard or around the neck...

Never cared for them, usually seen most get dropped, broke or ceased functioning...

The dollar store ones are as good as any, but they're really heavy to carry unless you plan on having a stroller to store them in. If you want a way to cool down, get a frogg toggs towel. I bought one, cut it in half lengthwise and my wife and I used it the entire trip.

Jonathan, do your frog toggs smell? I've heard that they can get a weird smell because they're always damp.

Surprisingly, no. They're easily washable if need be. I've noticed a lot of competitors have popped up. I saw them being sold in Home Depot of all places. I assume there all going to be pretty much the same, but if you want that particular brand, Amazon had it for the lowest price, but their price can fluctuate daily.

Just a tip on this. I went to buy a Frog Togg towel recently from Amazon and discovered that one of the difference in price is that the towels are different sizes, but they don't really advertise that very clearly. So look in the dimensions and make sure you're getting a good-sized towel for the price. Like Jonathan said, you can cut them, so I tried to get the biggest towel I could to get two adult and one child-sized towels out of it.
