Missoni for Target

Ladies check targets website right now!!! They have relisted a few items and added some new ones. I also spoke to my local store manager who said that some clothes would come back in to every store this week but no more shoes. He also said they were told they would only get one shippment and then the rest would be small amounts of home goods. So call your local store to find out if they know when there shipment is comming in.

Thanks for this info!

I'm REALLY hoping some of the jackets will come back into stores or online...they are SO cute!

I went to another Target and they had a lot of different things. I don't care for a lot of it, but I found a beautiful twin set in a gold color which will be perfect for the holidays! Very expensive looking (very expensive too for Target!).

I have seen the commercials for several weeks. I think the clothes are horrid but some of the dishes, etc are a little cute but still not my style. I really still do not understand shopper hysteria over these items. The media created the hype though and lots of people are easily persuaded by things like this. Media and advertising agencies have the opinion " You will like what WE say you will like". I have seen documentaries where they really make that statement!!
But...whatever..I have my own opinion and the lovers of these 60's flashback clothing have their opinion.

After reading this thread, I was curious to see if my Target had anything left tonight. They had some women's socks, four shirts (not the styles I had hoped to find) and some kids shoes. I also saw some makeup bags.

I think some of the stuff is cute but I guess that was all gone!

I wasn't all that impressed with the dishes either. In general the serving wear lacked. But the blown glass items rocked. I had my heart set on a lamp that I had sean in one of the adds but didn't see online. When I contacted them they said they would not have the lamp do to manufacturing problems. So I ordered two of the vases. They really are reasonably priced for handblown glass.

I got some vases online last night but just really have my heart set on the black & white zig zag sweater coat. I know I would love it, but I have not found it available online at all.

Just shoot me I missed the Lagerfild at Macy's so sad. I don't love Banana. I think I'm biased. I remember when they were more of a expadition clothing outfitter and I loved there clothes since it fed my childhood sense of adventure.

Oh I DO remember the "original" Banana Republics. I loved those stores.

Anyway, I apologize if it came across that I was "knocking" the Missoni line. I wasn't trying to put anyone down. I think this was a great opportunity for those who like that style to be able to purchase something at a reasonable price. It's just too bad that it sold out so quickly.

I liked certain pieces in the collection and didn't care for other pieces. But I think Target and Missoni both hit the nail on the head with this collection. First off, the material was decent quality for the price. Clearly it's not $600 Missoni quality merchandise, but for the price, the items are thick, soft and seem very durable and well stitched. Whereas other designer collections have been cheap. For example, with the Zac Posen collection, I doubted if I could wash some of that stuff and have the material or stitching hold up. It just looked that cheap. Secondly, I loved how a lot of the pieces were flowy vs. fitted so they'll fit different body types. And lastly, I also loved how they had core colors (black, white, khaki and navy) in just about every piece, mixed in with some pop colors. That way you can pair the tops with black pants or leggings and it adds the right amount of color or design without being overwhelming. And for the people who are a bit bolder, they can certainly pair their sweater with the bright color and still stand out.

I picked up a pair of the ballet flats and the black and white strappy sweater dress. I really wanted the navy and blue long, open sweater cardigan but never found it in store on instock on Target.com.

I was at Target today, so I checked out of curiousity. :)

There were racks and racks of Missoni clothes, so I'm guessing it didn't go over well here. :lmao:I also saw lots of scarves and bags.

I didn't look in the shoes or housewares dept, so I can't comment on that.

I might go by my Target tomorrow just to see.. I can't imagine that people around here would be that influenced by a commercial.

Whoa! I've been spending $4.99 shipping on each item as it popped up as available online. Who would have thought I could have driven to the nearest store and actually found something!

Still no sweater coat here.

We were at our local Target today and walked by the kid's section. DD(5) went nuts over the Missoni. They had pretty much everything still in stock in all sizes (except for shoes- those were completely gone). I let her try it on thinking it wouldn't fit or be cute, and that stuff was extremely soft (she is very sensitive when it comes to clothes) and surprisingly adorable. I was surprised at how nice it really was. We wound up buying two outfits for her. EEK, she's already got designer taste at 5. :scared1:

They had a few of the women's things left, but not a lot. A few shirts, some accessories, couple pair of shoes, lots of the rain boots. I'm not crazy about any of the stuff for me, but it sure looks cute on DD.

got some sweaters for my girls today too..they look like good quality but I think it is a tad overpriced. The shoes are terrible though...

I agree about the quality to be honest I haven't purchased any of the deziner lines since Isaac Mizrahi line first came to target. I purchased a pair of gloves and scarf both 100% Cashmere and I think I paid $40 for the both of them. A complete bargain since I still have them and they are in amazing condition. But your right I've gone to check when other lines have come in and the quality has been really bad. I was suprised with the quality for these items. Granted they are not 100% wool woven in italy and then hand sewn but you know they are pretty decent. One of the sweater dresses I bought is lined in a very soft fabric. The heels where both leather upper and leather sole. I thought alot of it was nice some not so nice but then again they make for all tastes.

Your training her lol. I did think the girls clothes were very pretty. I like bright bold colors on kids.

I went to the nearest Target today. I found a lot of girl's items. The only adult clothing were a few teddys and/or romper suit things, and a long blue knit dress. In a different area I found a bra and 2 underwear. In a third area several several sleeping masks and travel pillows, and some head bands, a couple of comforters, a few dishes, a few black and white vases and a medium blown vase. Score on the vase! I found the large and small online. I also bought a pair of the flats. They only had one adult pair of shoes at all and they were my size. A lot of the children''s shoes and boots. I noticed on the racks with the few remaining adult pieces that they had put some Moissimo skirts in a similar type of color scheme and print intensity. I'm sure a few people likely did get home to ebay only to discover it was not Missoni. There was a sign that it was limited edition and would not be restocked.

Good for you. I'm glad you were able to find some stuff and deff score on the vase the colors look great when sun filters through it.

I would have liked to have picked up a scarf or a jacket but I'm not lining the pockets of a greedy eBayer. I also found some very nice Missoni scarves on eBay that were wool or a wool/silk blend for a bit more than the Target ones but not enough to make me go 'ouch'.

Keep checking the stores and keep checking online I think people are having buyers remorse and returning some things. I've seen a few thing online and when I went to local store there wasn't much but there was more then the day of release.

I got lucky this weekend. I had not known about Missoni until this weekend so I went to take a look. Almost everything was gone however I think people were returning things and I found a few things I liked. I got the light blue zig-zag knit dress

and the matching cardigan

plus 2 tumblers in the same print.

Then I walked around a little more and found the weekender bag with the same color scheme but slightly different desgin and got that too.

I think that's enough and nope, not going to wear them all together, lol.
