Well, I've never taken off in space, but I did find Mission Space to be fun and really exciting. At least the first time. It does feel quite forceful when you "take off." I'd imagine it to be quite realistic. It has a cute story line and the "capsule" is neat, too. Try it. You'll like it!

According to astronauts who've ridden it, it comes real close to what taking off and weightlessness actually feel like. I loved it.

Mission: Space instantly became our whole family's favorite ride! It's such a cool sensation when you "take off" and it's not like anything you'll feel on any other ride. We rode it three times during our trip and would've loved to ride it even more!

Yes to me it does feel like you are taking off. Your face feels funny b/c of the G forces. I started laughing in the ride saying" oh my god my face" b/c you can really feel it. It is a cooool ride.
