id say try it! if you like intense, very intense movement, go in the orange line.

if you like just a simulator type ride, go in the green line...plus, its way less intense!

::yes::

It's a really fun ride. If you're not into the whole g- force thing, the green version is right for you.

::yes::

Have fun!

Also, don't think the green line will be any shorter than orange. Line might be 10 minutes shorter at the most. Anyway, go on whatever you feel that you can handle. Also, have fun!

My advice is:
Avoid it at all costs!!!
That is one of the few rides that we will never go on again. We went soon after it openned. We had to leave the park. I know that there is a green version, but the memory is just too bad.

Would you mind telling us why?

I heard that they even toned down the Orange version.

My mom said that the green one is like Star Tours .

Well, I am sort of a ride wimp (love BTM but hate Space Mountain; love EE but refuse to ride RnR) but I absolutely love Mission Space! I wish they'd make a Red version. :teeth:

The basic principle of the ride is it's a simulator. But instead of just up, down, and tipping side to side, this simulator has an added dimension. Imagine riding Cinderella's Golden Carrousel. Now take the horses and turn them so they face in toward the center of the ride. Turn the horses into seats, then speed the ride up about 20 times. Now, you know what happens when you put a penny on a top and spin the top? The penny flies off, right? Same principle, only you're held firmly in place. The spinning motion pushes you back into your seat so that you 'feel' the G-forces of the shuttle launch. Now, no part of the ride is open, so unless you have an ear infection or are sensitive, you won't even be able to tell that you're spinning; you'll just feel the G's. And man, is it awesome! It feels very real!

The green side is completely the same, only WITHOUT the spinning. No spinning= no extra G's. I was actually pleasantly surprised with how good it was; the only time I really missed the G's was the slingshot around the moon. That part of the green ride was terrible, but if you never rode Orange you'd never miss it.

Now, the first week it was open, Mission Space was perfectly calibrated; not one bit of dizziness at all. Now, it's slightly off and I can feel the difference. I'm never dizzy but I feel like I do when I go up into a handstand; just the tiniest bit off, but it's never enough to deter me. I could ride it all day! The only one in my family who doesn't like it is my mom, but she freaks out on Dumbo! :rotfl:

i'm a wimp and i went on it when there was only 1 now known as the orange one. i didn't find it anything sure the g-force is quite extreme but thats part of the fun trying to speak or move your hand in that other than thata i found it lame(but i'm a weirdo)

What is the diff. between the orange line and the green line? :confused3

i already stated it in my post! :confused3

orange=intense, breathtaking(literally), and a lot of force.
green=mild, simulator type, able to move;and breath(lol), and little to no force.

id suggest, if its your first time going on it, try the green. if you like that and think you can handle the "extreme" version, then try the orange. either way id say at least try the green version, if the orange scares ya a bit. because other than the force, power, and intensity of the orange one, the green has the same movie! :) have fun tomorrow! :goodvibes :sunny:

I've only been on the "more intense" one (orange I guess) and personally it wasn't for me. I think it's because I have a problem with spinning rides and what the ride does is spin you around really fast to get the feeling of going to space. You don't know that you're spinning...until you get off the ride (that's when I felt it).

It's a good ride and a great experience, but I'm not going on it again..

Well, it all depends on how intense you want it. theres green, which my 6-year-old brother loves, and theres orange, which some adults get sick on (according to my mom, so its true) either way, its nothing to be afraid of! its just a really fun simulator!

I will never do it, i hate spinning rides! Plus my rents went on it and they say never again (when ther was only orange) the only ride they have ever been on with sick bags on the ride. Not my style, plop me on POTC anyday!
