Ok, then... is MS a spinning ride? I would think it is, is that the problem? My DH loves rides, but spinning things, not too fond of. Should he ride or not?

Basically M:S uses a giant centrifuge to simulate the G-forces you experience on liftoff -- so yes, it spins. The ride vehicles face inwards toward the center, pressing you back against your seats. Fortunately you can't actually see anything spinning, but if you start looking around (which they tell you a bijillion times NOT to do) you can feel the spinning sensation somewhat.

I could sit on MS from open to close and be fine. I've been on it three times in a row during summer which, as you know, equals intense heat. No problem at all.

I wonder how fast the centrifuge has to spin in order to feel the G's you feel during the ride. And if the carts actually flip over during the sling shot. I love that ride, it's a feeling like no other and I'm so happy the Imagineers made it. It may not get the lines that TT does, or Soarin' for that matter, but people will still go on it.

I've never felt sick or dizzy after riding Mission Space and I've been on it probably 40-50 times, I however can see how it could make others sick, not everyone has the same tolerance level. It would surprise me if the poor boy who died didn't have some pre-exixting condition cause thousands ride this ride daily and it's not killing them, something must have been wrong with him.

Out of the big 3 Epcot rides I put Mission Space third, I like it and always ride it but I don't ride it multiple time like I do Test Track #2 and Soarin #1 my new favorite ride at Epcot.
