MISSION:Implausible

Hi there Mickie!

My goodness -- I just got SUCKED IN to your pretrippy! I had to read the WHOLE thread! We will be at Disney the same time (well almost - we are only going to be there for 5 days in total starting on the 2nd) - and are getting excited! Have a wonderful wonderful time - you all deserve it! (we stayed at AKL 2 years ago, and really enjoyed it. I think you will love the hotel, BOMA, and disney in general!!) I will be thinking about you!

Kelli:yay:

Got up this morning. Made coffee. Fed the fish and the kids. Sat down at my computer. Turned it on. Checked the DISBoards. Looked at my ticker. OMG, we are going to Walk Disney World in

THREE WEEKS YA'LL!!!

DANGER! DANGER! I bout fell in the FLOOR. No, for some reason I did NOT equate that 20-something days as three little bitty, huge, fast, slow, panic filled, blissfully happy weeks.

OMG I NEED A W-2!!! AHHH!! I am so scared/excited/happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  :cloud9: :cloud9:   :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :lmao: :scared1:

:woohoo: Just read your whole Pre-TR and I can't wait for your TR!!! I will be there the same time!!! Hope everything works out for you and you have a magical time!!:wizard:
First off LOVE YOUR CAKES!!! Wish you didnt live so far away I would love that one cake with what looks like silver ribbon flowing down it...:cloud9: for my wedding ..Also your boys are adorable and I love that your oldest can use the internet, let alone print pages ....he's smarter than my DBF!!:lmao: ..cough...just kidding babe!!:lovestruc

I LOVE WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!!! When I'm not on the DIS I am on that video game, you would be suprised how many girls play that game...my DBF always complains...."Will you please put the laptop away and spend time with us".....ME: "uh...did you say something..." ......"Nevermind..."
Anyway tell your DH I said HI and "DOWN WITH THE HORDE!!!" if he is a horde member, pretend I didnt type that....;)

On a more serious note I'm sorry for the loss of your Grandfather!:sad1:
Also, sorry to hear about your money troubles, I hope it will pass!!!

I just found your pre-TR and enjoyed reading it very much. Your cakes are so beautiful! I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip.

YOU are hilarious!!! I was glad to see that you got such a great deal on luggage-I was going to suggest that you use those garbage bag suitcases as ponchos, as well. Who cares that they'd have giant holes in them for your trip home!!!:rotfl: That's what duct tape is for!

I locked the kids in the other room watching Chicken Little, while I read your trippy. (Twin boys-5, does it get easier????? Please say yes!) What a great way to spend the afternoon, dishes be danged!! And, oh boy, will my husband be thrilled tonight when he encounters the hidden Mickey:lmao:

Well-sounds of murder from the other room-better go:rolleyes:

Just popping in to see if you have any more fun stories to share and to give you a bump:goodvibes

Thankee, Trentmom, for the bump. I haven't been getting my reply emails, so I had no idea I had new replies!

Thanks for all the compliments, ya'll! Who KNOWS what my actual trip report will hold.. :scared1:

jngwright - yes, the twins do seem to get easier the older they get!! Hang in there! Heck, IMO, anyone who makes it through the first year is GOLDEN :rotfl2:

As for the garbage bag parachute-cum-luggage... wish I had thought of that... coulda saved myself 30 bucks! :lmao:

planetcaravan - DH plays Horde... so I won't tell him what you said ;) . At this point, I figure the only way I'll get quality time with him is to start playing World of Warcraft. But not until after Disney.. only 1 obsession at a time.. :yay:

As for the trip... we are down to 17 days. I am in this weird state of euphoria/panic. I worry about money, it's so frustrating waiting on our stupid tax refund. If DH had been working, I would have already bought all the stuff like new shoes and sunscreen. :sad2: But for now, I just have to siut on my hands, while staring at my ever-growing list of things we need!

I mean, truly, the boys NEED new pajamas... they always wear boxers and a T shirt to bed... but surely they need ONE pair of super cute jammies to wear at AKL?!?!? I mean, aren't the beds there like, magic or something? They will reject your normal bedtime attire if found lacking, spitting you across the room in revulsion like a bite of wormy apple. I just KNOW it :confused3 At least, that's what I'm gonna tell DH when I got buy them! :rotfl2:

And we all need some new shoes, DH & I both need a couple of new outfits. We haven't had anything new in awhile, and we have ADRs at some pretty nice restaurants. My everyday jeans & T shirts are fine for the parks, but I would feel like a redneck at the Yachtsman Steakhouse in them. :headache:

I HAVE bought a few small things every week, so pretty much all that's left are the biugger expenses. I've got moleskin, hair gunk, travel toothbrushes & toothpaste, lip balm, etc.. Gotta love those little travel sizes! I can spend $5 and feel like I've really DONE something to get ready. :lmao:

Now if that stupid accountant would give us DHs W-2.. I would be in full-blown HAPPY mode. Not that I'm UN-happy. It's just kinda stressful waiting, when so much hinges on our refund. At least all the food and everything is paid for. We could feasibly head down on Feb 2nd and have a fabulous time without any $$$. But really, who wants to go to WDW with $100! :rotfl2:

Oh well. I know it'll get here in time, I have faith. DH boss called the accountant last week and told him he needed it ASAP. And, if all else fails, I know where their office is.

I am SO not above stalking that accountant. :rolleyes1

Anywho, thanks for reading guys! I am gonna go make "I'm a lost kid" tags now!!

Cool update. I don't think the email alerts are working right now. I am not getting mine either. :confused3 I was wondering where you ran off to. I have been busy too, working on my PTR and soon to be (I hope) LIVE report from the world then the TR, and oh yea packing & buying too.

Read your ptr, enjoyed it and laughed so much. Now I know I am not the only one with the obsession of planning a trip to WDW. I look forward to reading more.

I love buying travel size stuff....You can get a ton for a little:thumbsup2

Wow, you going to have your taxes done in 17 days....Nice:thumbsup2

Ok, I have my reservations. I have my ADRs. I have read both the Unofficial Guide and the Passporter twice. Okay, and the Birnbaum's Guide for Kids, too.:bitelip:. Twice. Dang DBOD.

I thought I had a good plan for touring... I decided to go where they are having the EMH. Not too many early mornings, tho, it IS vacation.:coffee: But now with all of the important stuff done, I have too much time on my hands, and keep second guessing my choices. I plan to go to AK on the day they have evening EMH. Should I switch that to morning? We're going to the MK first... should I save it for last instead like the Guides say? Will the boys really be disappointed in the rest of the parks if they see MK first?? And all of my flippin' highlighters ran out of juice!:furious:

So much for my triple-color-coded system!! So what now? Should I just chill out and go with the flow, or should I rethink my touring plan (and thus my ADRs, as well) one last time?? :scared1: Or should I just go buy more highlighters for the, ahem, super secret ninja plan portion of the trip that the boys (and you, dear reader) know nothing about?? oooh.... a mystery..:scratchin

Hi!

I'm new here, but I thought I'd just give you a little encouragement. You're going at a low attendance time so you shouldn't have to worry much about crowds no matter where you are or which day it is. If you remember that there's no way to see and do it all and just do the things that are the most important to your family first you'll have a much better time. If your kids aren't all Disney-d out, have them tell you what the biggies are. If they don't want to, you get to pick! You win both ways! ;) Really though, you're their mom. You know if they'd likely prefer one attraction over another. Once those things have been seen and done, the rest is, dare I say, Icing on the Cake? :lmao: OK. So it was a lame cake joke.

You're going to *love* AKL! It's soooo cool! Spend a little time exploring because it's a really fun place. Your boys might enjoy using the night vision goggles one evening.

One more little piece of advice: Since you have kids, take along some laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets along with a roll of quarters just incase.

You're going to have so much fun!

I'm really enjoying your posts, BTW!

Welcome lorispeck :cheer2:

I believe you can wear jeans to the Yachtman Steakhouse (just not those with big holes!) I bet you'll see some jeans there. :) Just saying in case you are unable to buy all the clothes that you want.
You'll probably will have to light a fire under the accountant. Employers just have to supply the W-2s by the end of January.
Here's some pixiedust so that the taxes are calculated quickly. .pixiedust:

In response to the jammie dilema-Disney Store (at least where I am) is clearing them out for $5.99....
Hope you get your tax money soon!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement, lorispeck!

Still waiting on the tax man.. :sad2:

I know they don't have to have them done until Jan 31st. Wouldn't that be my luck? File the 31st, and the check would come in on the day we lave (at 6 AM). BUT, I have faith. I am going to go to the accountant's office on Monday and beg. It can't hurt, right??

It's a shame not everyone knows how important a trip to Disney World is. :confused3

Well, I called the accountant's office, and the W-2s are ready! I can't pick them up until DH boss goes to sign the paper, though, and he is in the hospital right now. But, at least they're done! Woohoo!!

WOOHOO!!!

Are you having it direct deposited?

If so, even if it comes day you leave, the money will be in your bank acct, and no need to worry about getting to bank....:cool1:

Saw your thread on the CB. How wonderful that the W-2s are done. :yay:
When I saw that you mentioned some of your background situation I thought OH NO! they're going to flame her! But as of pg 3 only 3 snotty replies and 1 commenting on those 3 replies. :surfweb:

They are nuts on the Community Board

I have two threads I frequent on the CB, but we just use it as a place to hang out and have fun.

There are some mean people out there who haven nothing better to do that than to attack people..
