Mission Accomplished~Now A Trip Report~Day 10~A BRIEF CONCLUSION~

mony, you're back! Here's hoping for a nausea-free Wednesday

I'm so sorry about your scary experience with Soarin. I think I know a little of what you went through. I've never been afraid of heights, per se, but when I used to ski, the lifts were pure torture for me. I just kept feeling like some unseen force was pulling me off the chair. When I took a trip to the NC mountains last year, I had the same thing happen any time we were driving along a gigh ridge. Same stuff - panic, heart racing, sweating, tears... it's awful. And yes, I did feel similarly on Soarin. But I'm perfectly fine on roller coasters, ToT, etc. I don't get it.

BUT, at least you tried it! Now you can skip it without feeling like you're missing out.

Thanks for the great reviews!! I am thoroughly enjoying reading about your experiences. My husband and I are taking our 4 kids in May '07 for the first time. We are very excited and are finding the reports on this site SOOOO informative. Thanks again!

MONICA! Missed the update yesterday and now don't have time to read.

Bumping.

Back later today.

Hope you're feeling better and pink eye is a gonner.

There should be a limit to the disappearing peeps thread. Takes up all of our time see? Just kidding.

Hi! Welcome. Thanks for reading. A first trip is the ultimate in exciting. I'm no expert, but we can all help if you have any questions!

I didn't feel that scared when my son had his first allergic reaction to peanut butter. Crazy! It's just crazy!

Great job, Monica! I know you're not well so thanks for hammering this one out for us in spite of it. I wanted to quote all the pictures of Mal...what a beautiful child. :)
I’ve been feeling yucky and it’s a struggle to just keep up with my family and my day care and just any day to day chore.
Take your time, sweet girl. Hope you are feeling better soon. Did you try Twinkie's morning sickness remedy? She left it for you on the peeps thread.
I never knew or imagined I had such a fear of heights like that.
 How scary to be caught totally unaware by a fear like that!!! I think it's awesome that you stared it down and rode Soarin' anyway!!!
Very interesting to see how Santa, or St. Nick is portrayed around the world.
I would love to go at this time of year and do/see all the awesome Christmas stuff. How blessed you are!
It was a cute little water log ride. We had fun. We skipped the movie.
What??? Skipped the movie????
While we waited we were entertained by a group of singers who were absolutely fantastic! I am ashamed I didn’t catch their name.
VOICES OF LIBERTY...I can skip a lotta things at Epcot but not the Voices of Liberty. They are my favorite and I love, love their perfect harmony. I always cry. A little.
As we walk past the Candlelight processional we did get to see John Hurley. The choir sounded amazing.
Oh....I would love to see this. Are the tickets extra or do you have to have a reserved seat? I've heard people talk about the dinner package.
Tomorrow a day apart. Seeing a HUGE Celebrity at the Magic Kingdom! Dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming. Meeting a fellow diser.
Sounds exciting!!!

Yes I even posted a thank you because it did work!

Poor Monica! So sorry you had a rough time on Soarin'. It's my favorite ride.
I'm not afraid of heights but I'm afraid of falling. But for some reason I dont have the anxiety on Soarin'??? :confused3

I love how cramped Mal is in the stroller. All cozy without a care in the world.

I really love the Biergarten too. I have mostly German heritage so I love "Germany". I love the Polka singers there too.

I loved your day at Epcot! Thanks!!!!

Just catching up.. Hope you are still feeling a little better!!

Oh....I would love to see this. Are the tickets extra or do you have to have a reserved seat? I've heard people talk about the dinner package.

You don't have to buy any tickets. You just show up, but those doing the dinner package get seated first, so those who didn't do the package get what's left over. Might not be too bad. I don't know because DH and I have done the package twice now. We like it. There are three tiers. You pick a restaurant from a tier (each tier has a different set price) and get a non-alcoholic beverage, appetizer, entree, & dessert, tax and tip included, I believe. (We did the top tier - San Angel Inn in '05 and Le Cellier in '06.) Then you get preferred seating at whichever showing of Candlelight Processional that you have chosen.

I just jumped right in there for ya Monica! Hope ya don't mind and that you're feelin' better!

No Lynda I don't mind at all. It's a huge effort to just peak over here right now. The pregnancy gods weren't nice to me one bit this weekend.

UM: The only reason I brought our own stroller was so she could get comfy and actually take a nap while we were still at the parks. She's good that way and we never had to leave a park and return to the room so she could get a nap in. She'd tell us, "Lay down" and we'd recline her and she was good to go.

Hi Bee! Good, you posted here and one less for me to read on the peeps thread!:lmao:

Hi, Monica!!:wave2: We met over on my TR last summer. I can't believe it took me so long to find your TR!!! I'M SO SORRY!!!! The good part about just now finding you is I didn't have to wait with the cliffhangers like everyone else! I'm loving your report!!! How did you save $800 on NWA??? I have GOT to know that little secret. Loved your Secret Agent Spy persona. Congrats on #4!!! Hopefully your tummy troubles will pass soon.

YOU RODE SOARIN'!!!! I'm so proud!! :yay: Maybe next time you can relax long enough to enjoy it....(I'm just sayin'...)

Anyway, sorry it took me so long to find you. Have a great (non tummy-trouble) day.
Barb

Barb!!!!!   Hey so good to see you here.

I think you might has misread something, but the $800 savings came from a code from mousesavers on our WDW room and park package. The only way to "save" on NWA is to pay through your nose! J/K.

We had to use DH Frequent flyer miles and pay for a discount.

To get the real cheap tixs we'd have to fly at midnight going there, and 7am coming home. Oh yea! Sign me up for that one!:rotfl:

Thanks for finding me. Hope you are enjoying it.

If I wake up early and exercise, it seems to help me get through the day better.

So sorry to hear you are still feeling icky. Here's a hug, hoping you feel better VERY SOON! (A gentle hug though.;))

I'd be happy to field any questions I see on here that I am capable of answering, and maybe I could bring UM over here, and we could entertain your readers in your absence. :rotfl:

Now I remember..... You said by saving on the room it was like flying for $XX. See, I really need to keep up with things better.....

Boy, exercising?? early morning?? Not for me! :rotfl: This is why I had my children all at once. Only had *morning* sickness once. The rest of you should try it...:dance3:

Your TR has me intrigue to head over to Linda's TR. I need to find time for all these TR's. Work just seems to get in the way.:surfweb: That's why it took me so long to find you....

I have to check out Jaycns pre-trippie before I get back to work.... SHHHHHHH.... don't tell anyone....
Barb
P.S. I'm STILL so proud of you for riding Soarin'! I KNEW you could do it.
