..........am I missing something? Today a 6 year old goes in the backyard to play, they can't find him, he's on the 5:30 news, they find him by 5:40 on the same street.
Yesterday, Amber Alert issued by a woman whose estranged husband has their sons. They both have court date together that very day for a custody hearing. He was stopped by police hours later, children taken from his car and into mother's car, as he was on the way to the court hearing with the children. Judge lambasts mother for inappropriate use of Amber Alert.
Last week a 2 year old goes missing, not on the news until the next evening. Search was called off because "it became dark", then resumed next day. Amber Alert not activated because "it didn't meet criteria". They think he's been picked up because scent dogs lose the scent abruptly. 4 year old sibling is taken into CPS custody because mother was not supervising children and can't say for sure how long they were gone. Couple days later, they say that they've decided he may have fallen into a sink hole 100 ft from where he was last seen and steps away from where the scent was dropped...............but they just now decided he might have fallen in?
Anybody else think it seems as if the two year old's case is being treated VERY differently? And he's still missing. Dh and I said immediately they must suspect the mother.........otherwise, why no Amber alert? Why call off the search just because it's dark? But even with that, why wait so long to think he may have fallen in the sinkhole? I feel as if the whole thing is handled strangely.....................................
