Hi Nickie! I can't believe your service at Kona was so horrible. What a bleep bleep bleep!!! I've been reading about so much bad service at the restaurants lately. What the heck is going on? We've always had great service at Disney. Anyway, I'm glad you guys didn't let that bleephead ruin your day!

We have never eaten at Chef de France or The Wave, but both are on our list for December. I'm looking forward to the onion soup and mac & cheese in France and that beef tenderloin you had at The Wave looks yummy! Thankfully your service was better at lunch and dinner!

I hope the mayhem part of the vacation is over and the rest is nothing but magical!!!

Great updates Nickie! That view from your room is so awesome. It stinks that it took crappy service to get it though. I hope we don't go through that. Joe is far less patient especially considering the $$$ involved.

I really want to try Chefs de France. I've been trying to figure out where to fit it in. Do you know when Remy is circulating? The girls saw Remy on the Samantha Brown special last week and they really, really want to see him.

The Wishes cruise sounds so wonderful and so does the Wave. Lovin' your report!

Remy is there around lunch time. I would book something during the week around 12:30-4 if you want to see him!

Wow, sorry your server at Kona was so terrible! We went there three times on our trip (a couple weeks before you) and all 3 waitresses we had were at least average/good. Just steer clear of that guy, I guess!

Oh, by the way, I don't think those cups are the same! My DH wanted the Kona coffee (just him, I'm not a coffee drinker) and there was no cup option--he had to get the whole pot! And she pressed it at the table for him.

Glad you had better service elsewhere later in the day. Both Chefs de France and the Wave look tasty--we haven't been to either.

Nice that at least the rain gave you non-crowded parks! You got lots done!

So sorry to hear of the terrible service! seems to be catching over there...are the too busy to handle things...I know when Gwendolyn was interviewed it was lenghty and again by phone...I guess you can't figure if a person is ok by that!

But, I am glad to hear that the rest of the day went well and the evening was finsihed on a high note

That is really to bad about the service-glad the food was good. Looks like a fun Epcot day! Remy is very cute. Yay for a yummy dinner at the Wave-we are eating there in May-will have to see if Jackson is there. Glad the rain did not slow you down-we know all about that

Ugh, so sorry to hear about the waiter at Kona. We are eating there in March, so I hope we don't end up with that one!

We've walked from the Poly to the TTC before. We had the same idea- it is just a hassle riding the monorail all the way around to the TTC when we can just walk.

I'm so glad you guys got to make paper! We found this station in June and had so much fun.

Oooh, I'm so glad you enjoyed The Wave! We are also eating there in March, so I'm excited to try it for the first time. Can't believe there was a tornado warning.

Yes, I would have a hard time falling asleep too! Just too awesome. The Wave sounded great. We'll have to check it out one day. You're making me hungry!!! Can't wait to read more

Hey Nikkie! Just joining in! We are back from our trip (got back late Sunday) and had a blast. It was COLD but, like you, we tried not to let us get it down! I haven't started a report yet, but hopefully soon!!

Sorry to hear all about your troubles at the Poly! What a bummer! We had a great stay with no problems and can't wait to get back. We were in Samoa.

Your boys are too cute and those pictures of them on the plane with their ears on looking out their windows are priceless! Loving your dining reviews (unfortunately Chefs was our least favorite and we didn't see Remy....) but it sounds like you guys had a great meal there! We loved the Wave when we went on our couples trip in May, so it will definitely stay on our list for our next trip (didn't make it over there this time)! 'Ohana was definitely a favorite, as always!

Glad you aren't letting the rain slow you down too much - COLD rain is so much different than warm rain, isn't it? Brrr....

Hi Sara! Welcome back!! Make sure to let me know when you start your report! I am so glad your family had a great stay at the Poly. It is amazing how different people's experiences are. You get one bad waiter and it ruins it for that place! Or your hotel room is dirty and then you dont want to stay there again!!

Wow! I wonder what was up with that Kona server? Usually, I would just let it go but if he was that rude, I might have had to talk to someone. So sorry.

I did not know that the Poly in-room radios had docking stations for ipods! That is so great! Now we can watch Stacy on the tv AND listen to our wonderful Disney music. Thanks for the heads up!

I enjoyed your pics of Remy too. We ate there last may and, my DS5 loved Remy. But my hubby didn't like the food. Waiting for more of your TR .

I know! we were lucky it was cold and rainy because we got so much done!!

What a great trip so far! ...despite the mishaps. Definitely going to Chefs de France on our next trip...Remy is too cute! But not as cute as your boys! I, too, love the pic of both of them walking toward the castle. Great shot!

Welcome to Day Four of our trip report, "Mishaps and Magical Moments... The Goody's go to Disney again"​

Day Four: Tuesday February 2nd 2010

Today we woke up to guess.... YES! another dark rainy sky! We were up early today around 6:30 and out at the bus stop around 7:00. We were heading to Hollywood Studios and breakfast at Play n Dine. The bus took about 20 minutes or so and luckily and rain had stopped.

We got a few empty park pics and headed over to breakfast.

Magical Moment Alert! When we were called in all of the staff was there to greet us and they sang a little number and presented us with "the first family of the day" certificate. It was really cute.

We have gone to this breakfast now 3 times. I love it!! I know JoJo isnt even on TV anymore, but my kids still love her and Goliath and they love Leo and June! I do think that they should have someone more current in there but whatever! The kids had a blast dancing with Leo and June and everyone sang Happy Birthday to Myles! The food as always was great and the service was really good too. We actually had the same waitress as we had in May and she remembered us! It was a great start to the day.

Mishap Alert! When we went to go outside after breakfast we were SHOCKED at the rain. It just doesnt rain like that here in Boston!! You couldnt even see anything it was raining so hard! Well, guess who forgot to cover the stroller!? Ok, it was me!! We ended up just leaving it there for most of the day. Wayne got in the massive line (yes even in the rain the people lined up for TSM was insane!!!) and he went ahead and grabbed fast passes for TSM. We decided to go ahead and ride it too. There was no wait! We all LOVE LOVE LOVE this ride.

After TSM, we met Buzz and Woody (no line!)

Then we went to PlayHouse Disney Live! (Wayne actually went on Tower of Terror and grabbed a fast pass for Rockin Rollercoaster while we were in line waiting). I should mention here that the rain was starting to stop!!

PlayHouse Disney Live was a cute show! It was kind of hard to see the characters- all I could see was the top of their heads!

At one point in the show, Owen lunged up to the stage yelling "MICKEY!!!!!!" It was so funny!

After the show, we headed on over to meet the Up Characters. The line was about 10 minutes or so! They were SO AWESOME, CUTE, FUNNY!!! I just loved them. Mr. Fredrickson came over and shook Wayne's hand. We all fell in love with them!

After this it was probably around 11:00, and we went to see the Muppet Show and met Cars!

By this time, Owen was getting sleepy! I walked him around in the carriage (Oh I went back and found the carriage and ended up laying my poncho in there so he wouldnt get all wet!) he did fall asleep and Myles and Daddy went on Star Tours!

We decided to take advantage of a sleepy Owen and go to Sci Fi and see if they would seat us an hour early from our ADR time. Well they did!!!! I had read such negative reviews that I wasnt expecting much- well let me tell you, I LOVED IT! I loved the car, the meal, the waiter was SO AWESOME! I loved how dark and peaceful it was in there, we cracked up at the movie clips. It was just a really great lunch and I am so glad we gave it a try. It is a MUST DO from the family on our next trip! Wayne and I split a burger, shake and onion rings, and the waiter was so sweet, he packaged up a mac and cheese for Owen so that I could give it to him when he woke up.

After lunch we caught the parade and guess what!? The sun came out a little.

Wayne rode Rockin Rollercoaster and then we decided to head back to the Poly. the bus was there in minutes. We had a GREAT day at DHS!

Day 4 Continued....

Back at the Poly, we hung out on our balcony a little, and got ready for our dinner at the California Grill!

Dinner was at 7:00 and we headed on over to the CR and checked in and was brought up in the private elevator to our dinner! We should have waited for a window seat, but were seated right away.

Wayne had Sushi

kids had a fruit plate- Owen discovered he likes blueberries!

I had the flatbread- OMG so DELISH!

For dinner we both had the Filet. OMG! YUM

Wayne and I had a couple glasses of wine, we all laughed and really enjoyed our dinner. This is why I do the Deluxe Dining!!! It was just great. Right when we were done with our meals, it was time to go out to the balcony and watch Wishes. WOW - now we have seen them on the boat, and seen them from our patio.... but I think this may have been my favorite viewing of Wishes yet. The music was loud, and kind of went right through you- hearing my little Owen singing "Wishes" just brought tears to my eyes. UGH I am tearing up even writing this now!!! Just a beautiful night.

For dessert the boys got the "Sushi" OMG this was so cute....

We got the chocolate molten cake....

And Myles got a special piece of cake from the Cali Grill!

We were done eating around 9 and headed home to catch the EWP from our balcony. Perfect ending to a perfect day in Disney!

sounds like an awesome day even with the rain! I love the picture of Owen and Russell. and of course the empty park shot!! you need a frame just for those...

Next time you do Playhouse Disney it is better to sit in the middle to the back...you can see better that is one of the only places I would say that... Ashton and I sat in the middle to the left side and he was able to see everything! (standing up of course).

We have never eaten at Hollywood & Vine, we might have to have bfast there! Looks like fun!! I'm happy you had a great experience at Sci-Fi! We like eating there too! The atmosphere is so fun and the milkshakes, yummy!!

Mmmmmmm! We LOVE California Grill! We've always had a window seat, but have never watched Wishes from there. Maybe next time we'll have to eat during Wishes. Oh, the filet! My mouth is watering thinking about it!

Sounds like a great day! And you're making me hungry! We ate at both Sci Fi and CG on our Sept. trip and both were yummy. We'd heard to stick to burgers and shakes at Sci Fi and they didn't disappoint. Best chocolate shake ever! CA Grill was our favorite meal...I had the same meal you had! Sorry about all the rain, but sounds like you managed to work around it pretty well. Looking forward to more!

Oh my, Owen looks like a mini Myles. He has grown so much since May. Congrats on being the first family to be at DHS. We ate at Sci Fi too this trip and loved it. You guys were getting so much done and what low wait times. I'm sorry to hear the weather wasn't so magical. Oops, about the stroller. At least now you'll remember next time.
Dinner looks delicious. The kids' dessert is so cute. I really want to try Cali grill at around Wishes one day. Sounds like such a magical end to a magical day.

I love the pic with Doug! Too cute!!! And we LOVE Sci-Fi! I think it's such a cool atmosphere and the burgers are good. I have actually had a steak there and it was good. What a magical day. And little Owen singing Wishes... man, I would have cried too!!!!
